Igbos discuss whether it is better to only date other Igbos.

Do you think Igbos have a superiority complex to other tribes in Nigeria?

With all due respect and based on my observations and experience, "yes" they do.
BUT so do Yoruba's, Hausa's and any other tribe in Nigeria.
I think it's more of an African mentality....as opposed to a particular tribe of a particular country. In fact, the only other foreigners with such a complex would be black Islanders....(just my opinion though).
Confidence is a good thing....however pride and arrogance are not....
Sometimes that distinction isn't as clear....

Umm...well...let me not paint a "broad stroke" on the whole continent of Africa....cause I don't know every single country there. However, in my dealings with "some" Africans (especially Nigerians)...yes...many, many are extremely proud and arrogant.
Hey, I grew up with one: my dad (whom I love to death) but the truth is the truth.
Again, having a high self-esteem and confidence is a good thing (which unfortunately many black Americans lack).....
However, abuse of it (which many people in some manner end up doing) then becomes a problem.
