I have personally sponsored 2 ...or I think 3 failed artist in life and I know the rigors of the business a little bit, I should have been doing better than the present brands in the country if I wasnt lazy at physical labour. I suck at physical labour friends. Music as a business is no longer for the sales of CDs, and the Youtube hits and pay will soon be over for Music companies as we are transitioning to that phase where everyone can document their singing abilities and make money directly from the hits.

Banky W and many other known artists have been badly hit by the genesis of this transitioning but the good thing about him is that he is lazy, not physically as lazy as me, but he is smarter than being in Music Business, cos he cant do so much shit, and he is not great at going streetcore to get more Wizkids so, Adesua stepped in there and gave him the roughest fucck and the nigga go bananas and listens totally to her IQ and then, they HURRIEDLY transitioned. It is a very untactful approach, he needs to roughen up a little, go into the street corners and smoke some weed with some new wiz kids and find a few people to rip off but then the nigga want to live clean simple life. I love it, and I will continue to support all those who can make good decisions.

By and large, I love them all. But you, I do not love your hypocrisy, but I love your courage to challenge me. Kids do grow, you have a huge potential with the words.

Lol. Idea is 'need'. Creative marketing kwa? Why can't u sing and then creatively market the songs? Smh. Music dries up once u hit certain age level - 30s. That's y locally, people like MI, Banky, Eldee, mode9, ruggedman, Tuface, 9ice, Dbanj, Durella, Naeto C, Kcee, k-Switch, the entire agbalagbas in the Mavin set up (Bros Dr. SID, DPrince, etc no get anything to offer anymore.

Nigerian singer and actor, Banky W, has announced the closure of his record label, EME Records. While the EME brand remain, the company has announced by Banky will now be a 'full fledged media agency' focusing on Creative Marketing, Advertising, PR, Brand Events/Activations and talent management. Their client presently include DJ Xclusive, Ebuka, Toolz, Banky himself and his wife Adesua and few corporate brands.

I've always wondered why we don't have long lasting record labels in Nigeria. Storm Records were the in thing then with Sasha, Naeto C, Jazzman Olofin an the likes. Once those guys left or faded off the scene, they couldn't replace them and the label died naturally.

Same thing for Da Trybes. D'Tunes died after Nyanya left. Kennis Music, dead. Five Star music is KCEE personified. Now EME could not replace WizKid and Skales, even though they tried to promote Shaddie, nothing came off it.

Only Mavin has tried in terms of regeneration.

Will YBNL survive beyond Olamide, will Starboy live beyond Wizzy? Can DMW survive beyond Davido?
I think the music industry needs a lot of lessons on talent management and professionalism.

D'tunes is a producer. Iyanya was in MMMG and it's home to Tecno who is doing very well.

He was actually with D'Tunes before he signed for MMG. He was replaced with Sean Tizzle.

This man what are you saying. D'Tunes is a Nigerian producer And not a record label. He has in time past produced for Iyanya and Sean Tizzle. The least you could have done was Google d'tunes.
