Foundation for Peace Professionals (FPP) have been working on a Nigeria Peace Index (NPI) since 2016. The organization's Executive Director, AMB. Abdulrazaq O Hamzat was quoted last December by Blue Print newspaper to have said that the research has been concluded and that they are only doing some internal work in preparation for the launching of the index.

Today on social media, facebook to be specific, Abdulrazaq posted a rough art work of the index with a caption'' Understanding the rate of peacefulness in Nigeria''.

So, in your own view, a peace index is merely rated based on activities of herdsmen?

Salaries have not been paid in Benue for 9 months, crimes of survival are on the increase , people are scared of going to farms which is the primary source of living because of fear of herdsmen .... does that look like a stable place to you?

I thought there are kind of international benchmarks for assessing how peaceful a society is? Why should maiduguri be compared to benue? If Boko Haram kill 50 persons every day in borno and fulani criminals kill 50 persons every week in benue will you still rate benue peaceful because borno records more deaths?
