Is just me or is this a reference to human sacrifice?

There are no christains in the old testament as far as I know. Why cant christainity as a religion do away with the old testament in order to avoid its contradictions with the new testament?

I have been to churches where the pastors says Jesus dying for our sins has made the old testament obsolete, so we dont have to engage in human sacrifices like God commanded Abraham to do, no more killing of cows at the alter as burnt offerings. While the same pastors would open the book of Malachi(which is a book in the old testament) to justify offering and tithe.


The doctrines in the old testament are based on the law of moses while the new testamemt is based on the teachings of Jesus, his disciples and apostles. From my readings of the old testament, its doctrines and teachings is more compatible with Judaism than christainity.

Why is christainity packaging a judaism book with a christain one?

Okay so only the new testament is the word of God and you think people won't see something wrong with that too

My argument was not about proofing what is the word of God and what isn't. It is about the religion having a book that is consistent so that all its followers can be on the same page.
