The former head of state General Yakubu Gowon paid a courtesy visit to the governor of Borno state Kashim Shettima today.

The governor said ”

This morning, I was privileged to host Former Head of State of Nigeria Gen. Yakubu Gowon, the Chairman of ‘Nigeria Prays’ group who is in Maiduguri for the Nigeria Prays Northeast Zonal Triumph Rally.

Our father, Gen. Gowon (retired but not tired) is an international icon and a living legend. He is an epitome of humility, peace and unity.

I am honored to host him and I appreciate him for standing by Nigeria and for one Nigeria.”

Gowon can keep deceiving himself but the truth will keep staring him and his people in the face till the day he takes his last breadth.

Some people comments sound pains but dis is democracy you're right to ur opinion. If I may asked if gowon is murderer and fool, according to some people call, what did he committed when other not, he stand for one Nigeria and he committed to his work as a Soldier, he fought against most educated officer which his rebel against Nigerian government, that is the Genesis of civil war, it only be murderer when casualties in rebel side are more and the civilians death is higher in rebel side but others regions also lost people and unharmed civilians. No winner in game of war, when people called him names they should blame it on their rebel hero not gowon. Before causing any problems you should be on saver side, that is what the story teach us and when it happen take it in God faith and learn from it
