That's why it's 4th. If I had better options, It would have gone down further.

Anything in Europe; last.

All government universities in Germany are free.

Legally you have 18month to stay over after your studies...thats enough to get a job to stay here forever.

German government is immigrant friendly.we want skilled labour workforce.

Plenty student jobs from amazon(1300 euro monthly) to daimler Mercedes-Benz (2000euro).

Free education and semester ticket to make life comfortable.

I live and study here and visit uk.....very close to each other.

UK government is after your money...RUN

Are you there on an international student visa? Or a legal resident immigrant.

Why would a country priorities international students over their citizens, I don’t get the op’s cries. You went there to get a certificate and they did their side of the bargain by helping you have it. Getting a job afterwards I’m sure wasn’t in the contract. If they choose to employ international graduates over theirs, their citizens will at some point turn against them. Africa for Africa, UK for UK
I wonder! there are not enough jobs for us here let alone for foreigners, not esspecially Nigerians! grin they paid to get educated now they are demanding for jobs too!

Listen & Silent have the same letters...
Let those who want to listen take the lesson.

Everybody's case is different.
People married to those with papers have a different story.
Those in shortage fields have a different story.
They are not as many as the rest.

Post was to enlighten those who are unaware

I don't know if this counts. I've been freelancing for close to six months now I've worked with people from Australia and the UK. of all, the UK guys/company I've worked for are the best so far. Very honest and seem not to have a problem sending more clients my way despite the fact that I'm Nigerian and live in Nigeria.

I don't know how it feels when one's there sha. this is my observation from the few I've met.

Nobody needs your ''hailing'' here. Who hailing EPP

It is oversaturated with EU people NOT Nigerians...
Nigerians are paying so much more and getting minimal value in return.
Read the post properly smiley

Nigerians get their degrees & a British education. THAT'S IT. No one, even the Brits, said it was going to be cheaper & that it will come with a job.

Well, education is a business there....Private universities cost more than Public in Nigeria...it's your choice!. Tuition is free in Gemany. The same tuition is 4-5x more expensive in the USA. What i mean is that, they offered you education, not employment. The employment dream is most people's own expectations...But having the education only puts you in the competitive employment market!

I think they only owe that to their citizens and EU citizens, then when there are still job openings after nobody takes up the role for 2-3 months, then we come in. However, i heard the jobs are actually there, but the problem is the visa!

Sure there are.....I was just unfortunate to secure one recently because the company is not licensed for tier 2 visa sponsorship. I was set to discuss the remunerations with the company next week on a project to be supervised by the company in Germany before the person communicating me discovered through a UK immigration lawyer that tier 2 visa sponsorship is a perquisite, and according to him the process to secure license for tier 2 visa sponsorship from UK immigration is very arduous and costly and takes several months.

Are you for real bro? Got admission to study for masters in engineering (Glasgow and Strathclyde) but don't think I'm going since I couldn't secure a scholarship.

Why do you regret? Mind sharing?

CC: Aphrodite007, what do you think about the above two schools?

Don't waste your money and time else you come here to cry how UK hate Nigerians.

You can't work, study, do business, rent a house or open bank account with visiting visa.

You see what you did here? This is exactly what saouri and I are doing. We are telling prospective students not to bother going to the UK if they intend to work. I don’t think it’s fair for anybody to backlash at us, most especially if they got into the UK before the post study visa was withdrawn or are working in the med field. There is nobody that wants to go to school because it’s sweet, we all do it to land a job. We aren’t being entitled by feeling bad that we couldn’t get to work in the UK, after all, if our country was any better, would we troop into the UK in he first place?

The point is to create awareness (quite frankly I am tired of saying this) about the near-impossibility of getting a job there. Simple. Let people be aware of this then make up their minds on whether it’s worth the investment or not. I getting irritated at the condescending remarks I’m seeing on the thread!

Oh, they don't really give work experience there sef? And their curriculum stated otherwise; even packaged workshop opportunities to industries etc.

Surprisingly, a friend is currently working there. She did hers at an Ivy league school - ICL.

Well, I'm glad the tutor that interviewed me was honest enough to tell me about minimal opportunities as a student.

Thanks for your answer.
