Drdo Glider Assisted Torpedo program

It seeks to develop a glider configuration which when mounted on a torpedo can assist it to glide.

The initial specified design objective is to achieve a minimum range of 25 Km in a maximum duration of 250 sec when the whole assembly is launched from an altitude of 6 Km with a circular error probability of 500m.

The assembly after launch has to be controlled with the help of an on-board autopilot using integrated GPS-INS.

Interestingly the test range was under threat of closure due to objection of NGOs being funded from abroad.

Then there was tightening of screws on NGOs and strict supervision to counter their subversion activities.

This is how u try to influence a country indirectly via NGOs , media etc inorder to stymie their development.

huh

Actually Rustom has a long way to go.

Weapon development is based on threat perception , due to overiding cost and tech roadblocks .

Untill ones ass is on fire , one won't make a move.

The more powerful Ur threat , the more will u be into various weapon development.

Ind... ass is on fire that is why they have to do the needful or perish

Kali 30gw system

The Kali is a particle accelerator. It emits powerful pulses of electrons (Relativistic Electron Beams- REB). Other components in the machine down the line convert the electron energy into EM Radiation, which can be adjusted to x-ray (as Flash X-Rays) or microwave (High Power Microwave) frequencies.

Theoretically it can serve as a weapon but not doable in real becz it is a one shot system at present and very bulky .

This one is able to generate 30 GW of power.

That is huge compared to present day military grade devices which r not more than 200 kW or so.

But Japan has fired the most powerful one generating 2 pettawatt for 1 picosecond shocked shocked shocked

That is more than 1000 times the world's total electricity consumption . shocked shocked shocked

If gods and heavens exists then both of them must have got zapped pretty bad during the earthly experiment. cheesy grin cheesy grin cheesy grin

where's odunayaw when you need him.

this right here is called "a poor man's close air support"

It's cheap, easy to operate, reliable and most importantly..... it works.

ask the libyans how they used something like this to great effect against the Chadians in the Toyota war.

all you need to do is
1) reinforce the wing
2) upgrade the engines
3) upgrade avionics
4) mount rockets and gunpods
5) jolly hunting

If you're prepared to consider that, might as well come down south and like Botswana, Mozambique and Tanzania, buy the Bat Hawk. Botswana has also decided to arm some of theirs.
US$40 000/craft and operating cost is US$40/hour!!!
170 have been sold grin grin grin

Seriously though, Botswana has armed them with 2 FN MINIMI 5.6 mm Mk3 LMGs, fired from a button in the cockpit. Talks are underway to integrate 2 X 7-tube FZ rocket launchers.
