Good day to everyone. Here, I am going to analyse to you how to make ~~money~~ dollars in the corner of your room without having to report at any office. Fiverr is one of the leading websites where you can market your talents and abilities.

for the purpose of this article and as used on fiverr
the person rendering services is herein referred to as seller
the individual requesting for services is herein referred to as buyer

In my own case, I'm a graphic and animation designer; I'll show you how I started till when I landed my doughs.

Warning:
1. If you are not fully baked in the services you are looking up to market, please do not venture into it yet as this will mar your chances of becoming a great seller on fiverr. When you provide your clients with products that are not satisfactory, they will rate you very bad and this will ABSOLUTELY thin out your chances of landing the next gig/order. The rating is over 5.0, Fiverr did well to rate you on your overall performance notwithstanding the independent rating of characteristics such as

communication between you and the buyer
service as described
buy again/recommend.

2. You'd come across a wide variety of personalities while selling, some are very impatient, some can be frustrating, and some are total freaks. You must always remember, your politeness is not a function of their behaviour towards you. All I am saying in essence is if you are hot-tempered and can't control your emotions, fiverr is definitely no place for you.

3. If your job requires checking out other experienced people's idea in order to be inspired, be careful as plagiarism scandals can land you millions if not billions of dollar law suit.

RULE 1. START SMALL

One thing about fiverr is that it's a cummulative kind of endeavour. If you haven't proven your worth to the world, then you are just another seller amongs the thousands or perhaps millions of sellers. Dont just arrive on fiverr today and start creating gigs of $100, $50. Hell no it wont work. You need a bait to invite people to come sample your worth and once that has been done, you can start increasing the price of your gigs in bits.

RULE 2. USE THE TROJAN TACTICS

Create gigs with price tag as low as $5, but in the extras (ofcourse you know is very important to the seller), you may add $5 for each of it. I'll give you a perfect example in my gig above.
My gig's flat rate is $5 but I explained in the gig that

a. high resolution attracts $5 extra
b. source file attracts $5 extra
c. more than 1 revision attracts $5 extra

Anyone who sees the $5 rate will definitely wanna try me out amongst others placing $100 tag on theirs but who won't want a finished design with high resolution?

RULE 3: PATIENCE IS VIRTUE
When you create your first gig today, dont expect orders today or even in a month. If it comes earlier, fine, if it doesn't, fine too. One advice is whilst you await your first order, do well to advertise your gig on social platforms with high and organic traffic. I believe the sky is your starting point.

I have been vacillating about starting up on Fiverr for over a year! Finally made the move yesterday. I am into writing, research (academic and business), proofreading/editing, and translation. I enjoyed your writeup. I plan to learn as much as possible about the platform. As for my expertise in my fields, no problem with that. But I believe there is no end to learning; I'll keep updating my knowledge and skill.
I have a question: How do you handle online payments, considering the volume of restrictions on Nigeria?

Your best bet is having someone you trust abroad to help receive your funds then transfer to you. Although their are other was but I won't recommend because of it's hassles[/color]
