Sending away a minor in such a manner is very wrong. If something happens to the girl - who's supposed to be under their watch, while on transit, they'll claim they knew nothing about her evacuation from the house. That employee will have gotten himself in deep sh*t. Thank God he had the understanding to not be involved.

Your resignation didn't change anything either for the girl or the madam. you mention that they are owing you 5 months salary that means things ain't well for the family. so you see that as an opportunity for you to bail out.

am not accusing the girl of being a witch but that family is definitely going thru tough time

He should have helped the girl packed her personal belongings and see her to the park as long as she knows her way home or called any relative of her if that was equally possible. I know what the instruction said but final decision belonged to that employee. I said this because I pity that little innocent girl who had been tagged 'a witch" by the pastor and believed by the wife and husband. That girl will be seriously abused, she may eventually die if the abuse and maltreatment become too much. No be today.

There's sense in what you've said. But it's still a risk to just step in like that. The best he can still do is to get a relative's contact and get that relative to come pick her.

@Op, you may feel that you’ve done the right thing but have you? Think about it, the maid is still going to leave that house. That is very clear.
You had the opportunity to be of help to the girl but you just used the situation as an excuse to leave that environment. Yet you claim self righteousness.
When you were asked to get rid of her, you could have helped her out in a humane manner using your own discretion. You could have been her angel.
Now the girl will still likely be given that brutal treatment you were avoiding.

Well, there was prophecy that equally made that landed a two years old toddler on the street for six months in Akwa Ibom state until that German woman rescued him. We have to stop believing in these craps of witches and wizards. There is recession in town, majority are struggling financially. We should stop looking for scapegoats.
