According to multiple online sources, Biafran Hero, Col. Joseph Achuzie (Air-Raid) has died at the age of 89.

Those of us who have bothered to read about the biafran war know him really well. Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to pile all the blame on you... the Nigerian government shares majority of the blame. They should stop running away from history our history. Those who refuse to learn from history are bound to repeat it.

Yes, growing up I read about him in many of the Civil War memoirs. My Dad and uncles also told of his exploits. He even killed his men caught deserting the war front.

He was a true soldier. He answered the call to serve his homeland Biafra when called upon. He also distinguished himself in the line of duty despite all the challenges faced by biafran soldiers in terms of logistics and equipment. His military exploits during the war have been etched in the annals of history. He was a terror to the murderers and genocidists. He will be remembered by all Igbos alive and those yet to be born into this life for his courage, dedication to duty and selfless service to our fatherland. His memory will be cherished by all lovers of peace, equality and justice. Ikemba Asaba jee nke oma. Ka chukwu nabata mkpuru obi gi na dukwa. Amen

....You cannot discuss the Nigerian civil war without mentioning col. Achuzia,he was a war dog,brave in every sense of the word,the mention of his name bring fear and tremble in the enemies camp,he is a heros hero,a warriors warrior,the peoples soldier,in the military circle,he is known as Air raid,he was one of the 'mighty men of valor' during the civil war.
Though the afterlife is a place filled with uncertainties,we the living must do the fallen a favour by not forgetting the tales of there exploits. For me,he continues to live.

it happened...we all admit...but that counter reaction with declaring biafra was wrong....not all nigerians agreed that igbos were masscred in the north....

others didnt even bother to take over your things...especialy the yorubas....

i find it very strange that igbos are against the yorubas.....we are different empires....
