Is this not Peter Obi's brother who was made acting DG NIMASA under GEJ?

APC is strategic in their dealings. You mean despite knowing the Minister, he is still refunding money?
I remember what Buhari said, that you need not be afraid of me, but be very afraid for the consequence of your actions. There is still no guarantee that your friend will not go to jail, even if he decamps to APC, like Obanikoro.
First APC will collect the loot, then ask the judge to still jail them. This is why many looters are afraid of the second term of Buhari.

Story, once you join APC your sins are forgiven and you become a saint. Most people in NIMASA were believed to be Jonathan's allies, that's why there are persecuted. Chief Obi was a local govt chairman under Ngige and he was an inactive member of APC. Trust me, he will go scotfree, our justice system is dysfunctional

If you follow the cases, you will understand that the charges have not been dropped. EFCC is still lining up witnesses against Orji Uzor Kalu and Obanikoro has not been let go.
Agreed the justice system in Nigeria is very slow, but it does not mean that it is totally dysfunctional. Most of the cases been decided and looters sent to prison (like those involved in subsidy scam), some started 5 -7 years ago. The NIMASA cases started since 2016..

I am very sorry for you if you believe in APC, I rate anyone who believes in this government as mentally handicapped. Do you have to drop cases to sabotage them, aren't you aware of what happened in Timpre Sylva`s case. Never trust an African politician or take what there say seriously, be critical that's why we are living beings

I DARE presidency on Nairaland to respond
In this country, it takes a courageous and strong person to do what Buhari is doing. Don't make a mistake, these people (looters) are very powerful people.

Considering the system and the structure that has been on ground for so long time in the country, it would be an arduous and very difficult task to bring a corrupt person ( public official) to justice. Not to talk of the weakness of the institutions and the judiciary.

I think Buhari has tried even though, we are yet to see the result. In the fact that he is able to harass those yeye looters, alone, I think he deserves to be credited. Can't you see how some of them having heart attack and falling sick suddenly? Anyone who is close to them will know they don't have peace of mind. That psychological trauma alone which they are experiencing is something!

He should commit d genocide n probably in 15yrs time, all those wailing, will have good words for him, like they won't stop comparing us to ghana(rawlings), china(chairman mao), south africa(aparthied).tongue
Though I admit that I often think of that and it would seem to be the most important way forward. But, I also recognize that our politicians know the history of Rawlings and are mostly careful it might happen somewhere else

You are right on point here! Corruption is VERY powerful BUT the most powerful force are the PEOPLE and just see how 80% of nairalanders (mumus and mostly in poverty) have the effrontry to defend thieves based on tribal or party affiliation huh?thats when I knew that we are done in this country. We all know that buhari is STILL surrounded by thieves (its impossible to find angels in Nigeria),whoever steals now will be probed by the next administration .
