I think fifa still has a decade to go in gameplay. (PES is no better). The players glide too much and are unresponsive sometimes, especially when AI wants to collect ball from you.
The AI in f18 are far from intelligent, they're just heavily scripted. Frankly with today's technology the scripting in f18 is laughable. The friction of the ball to the field is too much. AI reflexes are more than that of Spiderman. You can't make a medium run with the ball (PES tries in that aspect) you can only run in full speed or make a ridiculous bunny-hop run with the ball. You'll slide tackle 100 times and get just 2 correctly. That prediction is stup!d. I beat Beyern 8:1 last night in legendary career mode so, it's not the difficulty just the game physics generally. It's just wrong.
It isn't a bad game, i just think it could be much much better.
P18 is also bad... They play like American football and the players response rate is as slow as fvck.

This year is the worst year in football gaming history. I've only had to ignore one and play the other every year but, this year is just bad all round.
I guess that's what you get when Canada and Japan who don't know sh!t about football develop the game. It's about time Spain or England or France or even Nigeria develops an actual football game with realistic physics.

You are absolutely right...The game mechanics is just horrible, playing any online fut game is just a waste of time.. we are at a disadvantage here in Nigeria..input delay will make u want to break ur game pad, i dont even bother qualifying for weekend league cause u wont enjoy it. Even in squad battle that is offline is too rigged towards the AI ...your player play like they are on steroids... we need a dedicated server around here any where in west africa, but i guess that wont happen in a million years cos we dont contribute much to their profit. Anywais enough of my rant ..peace.. i dont tink i will waste my money on any game again

i stopped playing around 2-3 months ago and my quality of life has improved. the only painful thing is that i purchased the digital only Icon edition which cost me 80 or 90 Pounds, without resale value.

ive deleted the game and vowed not to go back. Crappy product.

it was only in the final 15 minutes of extra time when i brought on Kane and Rashford, that i was finally able to score 3 goals against his tired defence...

Harry Kane and Rashford are actually really cheap.
That being said, I packed an 88 Vieira and Ibra right at the start of the game. Back then Ibra was going for 100k+ and I eventually sold the Viera for 2M.

Just played a couple of games with my neighbour honestly this game is just about who has the most true passes to the wingers unmarked . It's just so terrible ...the update did nothing ...people on line are still scoring the kick off goals .
