That isn't a problem your visa will be granted. Also, you have a valid passport. The only thing they will do is to give you a visa that will expire when your passport will expire. OR You can be lucky to have it beyond October 2020. I have a similar situation My passport will expire in 02018 and I got a Visa that will runs up until MAY 2019.
explicite:
hello house,
I am applying for a study visa,
My admission letter states I am to complete my studies in December 2020
but my international passport will expire October 2020
considering this requirement on the checklist "A valid passport (validity of at least 30 days after the intended stay)"

what are my viable options... and has anyone being in the same situation...?

Pls how do I go about this Saqa
Durban university of technology that I wanted to apply for has accepted the transcript I sent to them as OK for the msc program I intended to apply for, but they ask me to contact Saqa. I have no idea of how to go about this Saqa, please can you intimate me on how to go about this Saqa thing. thanks
abdullahi45:

The truth is that most schools doesn't have their application open for Honours or MSc now except for few schools. Kindly try to dp your see and check for schools whose application is still on for MSc.

As for SAQA, you need to evaluate your undergraduate cert and transcript via saqa... find out more about it via Google.

it's worthy to state that some school MSc doesn't require SAQa so you can apply to such schools without saqa.... But generally people advice one should do saqa.

Gurus in the house will contribute more.

good luck.

[Please how did you go about this saqa evaluation thing..I didnt know how to go about it .Pls put me through. Thanks in anticipation author=SophiaE post=65350474]Hi guys
I am new here. Read the trend as much as I could. Really fascinating the help been rendered here. You all are amazing.
I am a BSc degree holder, I want to study for my MSc in Cape town. I need guidance and assistant. This is the step I have taken. I submitted for SAQA evaluation, received a message it will be out by 13th of March.
If anyone has an idea how much this whole process will cost me, or a list of things I should do or prepare to do, like step one, step 2, especially in getting the admission or what school to apply to. Now I am considering CPUT, because I couldn't understand anything on UCT'S website.
I just need help and I want to start early so I don't be in a rush. And I concluded most agents don't know alot about study visa. Thanks I hope someone picks up my case and my message was not too long. [/quote]

The truth is check booking.com, there you see list of hotels in joburg. Visit hotel websites if they have free reservation, but mostly they accept R500 as reservation fee. But what i used was booking.com and i tore the booking.com header from the printed document(i.e i removed the logo which depicted booking.com) and made a photocopy. So it looks as if i did it from other platform cos booking.com is not accepted.
you can try Chisam Guest Lodge, Yeoville

Yeah you need to register online via saqa.co.za to get your university transcript and certificate evaluated. Go to the website, instructions there are not subtle. Also you will need to notarize/certify all your documents before sending it to them via post and you will also have to pay them evaluation.
Finally, the whole process can take more than a month depending on how fast you also move.

Your questions aren't so clear enough. But from what i can understand, you said you already sent your academic documents for evaluation, if so then wait for the result to be out, it is either they ask you to do Honours before MSc or MSc directly.

Also you were asking for a cost, cost of what exactly?

Try to understand UCT website if truly the school interest you. It is not rocket science.

Free you say? You can find that online, then contact the hotel directly.

Although i am on study visa but I didn't have to pay for hotel reservation as I called the hotel and I was told I can do that once i land.

Be patient. While you are doing that, waiting for a text message is not the best way to track your application. Go to vfs website and track your application using your date of birth and your Application ID.

This place is not a bureau de change visit google for detail. Otherwise, go to the bureau de change in your area. Better still go to the banks.
