Bronco Combat Systems (BCS) USA has announced the launch of its new aircraft, the Bronco II, a two-crew C4ISR and precision strike aircraft.

Capable of carrying a wide range of weapons, sensors and systems in extended airborne mission operations, Bronco II will target the US military’s light aircraft market.

Based on the Advanced High-Performance Reconnaissance Light Aircraft (AHRLAC), the Bronco II has an open system design which allows emerging technologies to be incorporated later.

Its Interchangeable Multi-Mission System Bay (IMSB) allows a single airframe to be reconfigured for multiple roles. These include high-performance targeting sensors, network communication systems, precision weapons, an electronic self-protection suite, and mission planning systems.

According to BCS, it will do all of this at a fraction of the cost compared with aircraft with similar mission applications and capabilities.

The aircraft is completely digitally designed, making it possible to produce entirely in the US. Work has already started on a manufacturing base in the US that can build the airframe and mission systems integration.

Newly-formed BCS is in a funding partnership with Paramount Group USA, Fulcrum Concepts LLC, and the Aerospace Development Corporation (ADC), who designed the AHRLAC platform.

“This is not simply an armed variant of a civilian crop-duster or a modified training aircraft,” said Paramount Group International Chairman Ivor Ichikowitz.

“Every inch of this aircraft is designed for purpose—specifically for the kind of asymmetrical warfare that sophisticated military forces are now being asked to conduct.

“These missions demand rapidly deployable, hybrid ISR and close air support capabilities for which no other platform has been specifically designed.”

He added that discussions are underway with ‘highly respected and experienced US suppliers’ for the Bronco II.

Dr Paul Potgieter, CEO of ADC, said: “This aircraft is a completely clean-sheet, next-generation design, using the latest CATIA and digital design systems specifically for digital production.

“Even the factory in which this aircraft is currently being produced embraces the innovative principles of the Fourth Industrial Revolution by emphasising the use of rapid digital prototyping, laser additive and 3D printing, and a jig-less manufacturing approach.”

8 fighters for what? All these people and military show off. After all only one will be there to shoot down the jet if there's need .

It's the same thing. Paramount has formed a US company where the Mwari will be marketed as the Bronco II, with US components. Same thing they did in Kazakstan for example, where the Mbombe 8x8 is manufactured as the Barys.

My friend u r making the most common mistake that all of us do, that is becoming a victim of the played out narrative.

How about this

Sometimes EI aircraft is sent along with fighter escorts when egressing hostile territory, Maybe this was not reported.

Chinese aircrafts behave aggressively conducting dangerous manuevers. So greater no of aircrafts serve as deterrence.

Once a hostile aircraft enters Ur airspace , u can warn it to leave , then on non compliance shoot it down , which is easier said than done because of the risk of initiating a war. So viable solution is to conduct a aggressive counter deterrence show of force by utilising larger no of aircrafts.

Make the hunter become the hunted , utilize Ur aircrafts capability to sniff out the shortcomings and capabilities of the EI aircraft , this is possible via utilizing multiple aircrafts. Some stay in the background conducting dedicated counter EI activities via their organic EW systems onboard

That's a 2 way street.

Indi... Contributed billions via brain drain etc , now it's time to get it back.

Reverse brain drain has picked up strongly recently due to better and easier business norms which were implemented sometime back, and thanks to trump grin

More than one thousand new tech startups last year alone which boosted FDI and foreign currency reserve's to all time high.

Just need to get the black money back estimated at more than 2 trillion dollars , it will kick start the economy above the present 7% growth rate.

But I am doubtful on the black money becz the Swiss / other holding countries economy will tank if that happens , unless a mutually agreeable way is found out.

I bet the Boeing facility in the US would be used to manufacture another product of theirs, all those workers can’t just loose their jobs, would have seen something on the news about it by now.

Thats a given isn't it wink

They will be catering to newer products or will be absorbed elsewhere.

Americans r clever , no body will kill their golden goose. What Ur missing is only fuselage manufacturing has been out sourced , rest of the thousands of systems and components r being manufactured in America , so who is still racking in the big money? grin

anyways just for info this facility is part of the offset programme .

Russia's Hypersonic Weapon

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEHHvxNqm08
Is that system using a scramjet or a rocket motor ?

Video is not clear. Waverider shape not visible to me , will have to wait for confirmation.

A missile using rocket motor can easily end up as a hypersonic weapon , only difficulty will be the sensors and the mid course guidance. However it's trajectory will be predictive ie a pure ballistic trajectory.

It's my personal opinion only.

Russia has created yet another weapon – an underwater drone with great endurance and stealth capabilities, with a nuclear reactor smaller and more powerful than earlier models. The drone can counter enemy aircraft carrier groups and attack shoreline defenses.

probably the first stage uses the booster rocket motor to gain altitude before detaching
