Hello mothers. I'm a first time mum. My daughter is just a month old but whenever i breastfeed her, She pours immediately. Also, must u burp him after every meal?cos if i don't burp her after meal and put her to bed, she feels very uncomfortable. He even fainted when he was about 3 weeks cos i think d milk didn't digest which went d wrong way. I rushed him 2 d hospital and doctor just burped him and he was awake immediately. So doctor said i should always burp him after meal. Its kind of stressful to me cos i burp him 4 a minimum of 45mins to 1hr per meal which made her to be used to hand. Thanks

Yes you should burp your Baby after every feed especially in the early months.
You can also pause her feeds and take her off the breast to burp and then continue. That will reduce the milk pouring out of her mouth as you have described.

There are different styles of burping and some are more effective than others depending on who is doing it.

See below for 3 different methods. Try each one and see which one works best for you.

Good morning,

I've asked this question before but no one answered me embarassed

For those who normally have menstrual cramps before you became a mother; now that you have gone through childbirth, is it true that you don't ever experience menstrual pain again in your life?

is it everytime you burp a baby that she must belch? I burp my baby for like 2 or 3 minutes, with the systems you posted in picture. She only belches on few occasions so I wonder if I'm doing it right. Sometimes I don't even burp her and she doesn't appear uncomfortable to me.. Hence, I risk not burping her sometimes, but I'll start taking it seriously henceforth (burping). What's the risk of not burping a baby after a meal?

Do u breastfeed him while lying down? Endeavor he doesn't suck till he's over fed, place him on ur shoulder n slightly tap his back(do not tap his back as if u r beating drum oooo)... I knw Hw tiring dis issue is buh wth patience n strictly adhering to wat the doctor says. It's well...

How do you burp her or him?

It is easy! You sitting upright have the infant child on your thigh, ensure to support his/her chest with right palm while you use the other palm to pat his back from going ascending cranially from his bottom.

Patting exercise should be soft, neck should not be compressed. Avoid pressing his chest bones too hard as to provide him/her with free breathing condition while burping him out.

Another way of doing this, after being fed. To start the burping exercise, stand up. Take the infant child to relax on your shoulders ensuring that almost his/her body freely lying on your chest except for the head which should be head by your palm to avoid unnecessary that may provoke loss of some of the food already taken in.
When this is done, pat the back of the baby softly. Head shouldn't be tightly fixed, head should be given at least some limit to move. Avoid over feeding the infant in doing this kind of burping exercise.

For women experiencing menstrual pain(dysmenorrhea) as a result of the contraction of the sphincteric muscle around the cervix may experience an ease of their menstrual pain, this is because the pregnancy has in one way loosened up the grip this form of musculature has on the cervix. This is just a simple assumption. If not,the menstrual pain starts soon as she starts observing her normal menstrual flow.

Not much to say about the risks. You may find it necessary to burp an infant after a feeding exercise as frequently as it requires to:

1. avoid accumulation of air in his food carrying tract. Air accumulation in his/her gastrointestinal tract can cause distress for the baby. You may quickly observe that he builds up fighting character after feeding just to constrain to stability. So make him burp!

2. Just like you, when you overfeed you may find breathing a bit difficult. Same with them. Air accumulation in the gastrointestinal tract can raise pressure that prevent proper inflow of air into the lung. This is fighting ventilation to a stand still. So make him burp!

3. Some babies could remove flatus through the anus for all they care. Those that are not should be allowed to burp as deserved.

4. The burping exercise is a playful time for both mother and child. So make him burp.
