What's the problem with Microsoft Windows and the endless updates. Do they realise that one might actually be using the PC for work!!!

And completely time wasting.... I am thinking of dumping Microsoft Windows.. but I don't know which to switch to given the cost of Apple products

Exactly bruh, recharged my Mifi with just 1GB. Wanted to quickly surf d net, 30mins it was gone. Battery was getting low, I hibernated only for me to boot back and wait for 40mins for updates to install. Very annoying

Simply disable auto updates.

This wouldn't work if it's connected through ethernet. Security updates will always install.

There's a way to disable auto update on Windows 10 through registry, google it.
It will disable it regardless of your connection type.

If you are tired of Windows, then use Ubuntu. Although if you are complaining about Windows, I have my doubts about your getting able to handle other Operating Systems.
