The acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, says the reason why the senate has rejected his nomination twice is because he is doing his job very well.



The Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, has on two occasions, stated that despite the senate's position on his nomination, Magu is going nowhere. Osinbajo last year stated that the presidency can even confirm Magu without the input of the senate.

Speaking on Channels Television recently, Magu said he is not deterred by the delay in his confirmation.

“I don’t think my non-confirmation has given the public a cause for concern. I think it is a lot of encouragement. The fact that I am not confirmed shows I am working. Really. In the anti-corruption environment, if they rush to confirm you, it means you are not doing your work properly.” Magu said

The EFCC acting chairman went on to say that ''a number of the people we are investigating are also in the national assembly. I am not completely distracted. It is not an issue. I am no fan of Buhari get it clear but on this case the senate have deep selfish motivation which u re nor seeing. These guys are worse than Buhari. They receive huge funds for constituency projects but tell me what projects have they executed.
What many Nigerians are blind to is that in d first place, the national assembly never have business to finance projects. This is open robbery of our collective wealth and that os why recurrent expenditure is astronomically high leaving little for capital projects which is d keybdrivernin creating hobs and improving critical infrastructure.

My company worked for most of the Major brands in Nigeria and I can tell you for free since the coming of Buhari most brands have heavily cut down on Ad spends just to survive and it has affected the whole industry and Nairaland is not immune .. My ad business is still running as we speak but we make just a tiny tiny fraction of what we used to make before due to Buhari incompetence ..Please be advised that I voted for this same Buhari
