Nigerias years were 1994 and 1996 deservedly won by Amunike and Kanu.

Blame Abacha for taking Nigeria out of CAF from 1996 to 1998.

After that Cameroun became indomitable and their players deservedly won most years.

2003 and 2004 was won by Eto'o yet Okocha deserved one especially 2004

Even in those military tyranical regime of Abacha, Nigeria were still winning.... 1996-Kanu. 1997-ikpeba. It's only in 1998 it eluded Nigeria and went to Morocco.

But Okocha truly deserved it in 2004...I don't need to mention his escapades...Eto'o winning it that yr was purely a Cameroonian affair.
