This would only bring about segregation is schools, the compliant schools would go lower in scale due to mass withdrawal of pupils who may feel marginalized and opt for better school who give a leveled atmosphere..

You don't expect green spring school to adopt this initiative, the best they can do is to make it optional. You don't expect a parent who coughs up minimum N1m/term to allow his kids be taught physics in Yoruba even if he/she is Yoruba.

The use of Yoruba to teach subjects is a test to see if it will help students understand it better not a drastic change in policy, surely you don't expect everyone to be taught in Native languages. And even if it works, it won't be change anything, students who assimilate faster in Yoruba can as well go learn it.

English is Nigeria's official language but if our next nuclear physicists have to be trained in Igala for them to understand and use it to grow the nation, it is a win for Nigeria

There are 4 official Languages in Nigeria recognized by the constitution. Hence you cannot force anyone to speak any particular one of them, no matter how hard you try.

If not we would all be speaking Hausa by now.
