traeces: It would have cost him far less to power the streets with a gas generator, instead of using diesel. 1 Like |

Omooba77: You sabi maths well o! But perhaps blindfolded by some forces! 1 year = 12 B 1 month = 1 B 1 B = 1,000,000,000 1 month = 30 days 30 days = 1,000,000,000 1 day = 1,000,000,000 divide by 30 = 33,333,333 Total number of street lights = 31,446 Amount spent per street light per day = 33,333,333 /31446 = 1060 Naira per street light per day which is approximately 8 hours of running generator Please is that too much? |

winnerz: Ok sir, but I did what is called optimisation in design; I lumped 10 street lights per street, since you will not have one diesel generator to a street light. So sir my calculation is based per street per day |

Omooba77: sorry Mr governor u re very silly and pathetic for wasting our hard earned money like this. it only show u re clueless and don't know what u re doing. your lack idea and creativity to manage ordinary waste and traffic an not surprised you will spend that much on generators and diesel therefore adding to global warming. all your project are over inflated and u gave only to your croonicks milking Lagos dry a simple turbine engine and hydro thermal engine will powered all Tue street light in Lagos because the whole body of Lagos is covered with water. you lack idea, creativity and innovations to move us forward continue to waste our money 1 Like 1 Share |

We use to have at least 15 hours uninterrupted power supply before but now is turn by turn.. like 3am-4am...8am-10am.. 4pm-9pm.. Like this for four consecutive days then on the fifth day no light at all.. So Lagos state governor is now sharing our light with street lights for his political agenda.. And later they nepa people will bring large estimated bill for us to pay.. Suffering and smiling... #godpunishdevil |

drezzyx: I am waiting for Ambode to draw Infographics to explain his 12 billion naira diesel bill, the way he drew infographics and adverts to try and rationalise his illogical increase in Land use Charges (LUC). He probably thinks all Lagosians are born stuvpid, and they will swallow any crap thrown at them hook, line and sinker. He first of all increased Land Surveying fees in the state. No one shouted. Next, he increased toll gates. People shouted, and later kept quiet. Then he followed it up with an increase in waste disposal charges and inflicted Visionscape on Lagosians - the same firm that has managed to turn many areas in Lagos, into a cesspit of filth with their poor waste disposal practices. To now crown it all, he increased vehicle registration charges by 200%. Someone should remind Ambode that he was not elected into Alausa, to impoverish Lagosians or exploit them without mercy. |
