It's a relative to the hedgehog and porcupine. Scales are worth a fortune in Asia. Most of the endangered pangolin species are found in Africa, trafficked for their scales. However, most of the medicinal qualities attached to this scaly creature are bogus. Here's an excerpt from One Green Planet's website on pangolin scales; "The pangolin is the most illegally trafficked animal in the world. Although the pangolin is eaten as a delicacy, it’s also believed to have medicinal value. It’s thought that the pangolin can enhance kidney function, cure asthma and improve signs of psoriasis. Dried pangolin scales are also thought to produce lactation and improve blood flow. Look at the sheer number of pangolins being moved out of the country... And i am sure the chinese muthafukas will just enter forest and start hunting for something this costly. A plate of pangolin stew is a $1000. The scales alone are worth $600 per kg. Having a big pangolin farm will be something ooo. But sadly Nigeria is on auto pilot. If it comes to "Human Rights" versus "animal rights"; I will move the motion that pangolin be utilized in manufacturing curatives medicines which heals certain (otherwise) hard to cure diseases. But, where China is involved, I will not easily believe the claim, because ulterior motives may not be divorced from Chinese husslers. A lot of " allegations of dubious merchandising" have been associated with their hussling, ranging from canned human flesh, plastic rice, etcetra. |

What type of wickedness is this. I belief he is not alone in this trade and should be properly investigated alongside his cronies.
