Everything is just going wrong in this change regime and nothing is happening even when you complain , how can their little salary be tampered with in this manner , policemen for that matter that means nobody is safe under this APC government. May God deliver us from the hands of these wicked rulers.

This happened to health workers before, they claimed the taxes were not well calculated before. So maybe it’s the turn of the police now

What I learnt was, that they've not being paying tax for years now which amounted to increase in tax deduction.

It’s not a new development. Federal government staff who are being migrated to the IPPIS platform always have some serious deductions from their take home pay.

This same scenario played out in the health sector, and the explanation given at that time was that
1. 8% employee contribution to the pension fund. Is deducted.
2. Contributions to the NHIS is also deducted.
3. Contribution to the National Housing fund is deducted.
4. Correct calculation of the PAYE tax is made and deducted.

Most of these deductions were not made from salaries under the GIVMIS platform.

In any case the police officers can always chech their pay slips when they are printed and they wld verify the deductions made from their salaries.

There have been a serious uproar among the ranks and file, officers and civilian staff working with d Nigeria police force as February salary has been grossly debited with huge deduction by IPPIS in d name of Fed govt new tax policy.

Yes huge disaster because of d fact dat people are already complaining dat salaries are no longer enough in dis (Buhari) regime and require upward review, but all they could get is huge deduction is dis fare APC. imagine deductions as high as 10k, 20k & even >30k, how can we survive dis? please affected personal share ur experience, mine was 23k. what do we do? Also is dis new tax policy also affecting other civil and public servants?
so you ma na ekelebe... This is not good o, tax that snake will swallow last last.

That was why I asked the OP if this is the first time that IPPIS will be paying police salaries. The fact is, most of the statutory deductions were not been deducted properly before they migrated to IPPIS. Unfortunately, no hiding place under IPPIS. Everything will be done according to the law. With time, they will get used to what other civil servants have been enjoying under IPPIS.

Those making it look like Buhari is the problem are simply ignorant of how things work.
