Please can anyone recommend a cream or drug to stop excessive facial sweat.

Use soaps that performs exfoliation well. Dove soap, Okin soap are very good soaps that'll help you in dealing with this problem

Yes, bath minimum twice daily. I used it for up to five years before my skin changed from oily to dry skin. Get a handerchief and always rub your face dry after washing it with ordinary water during the day. It's a long term approach so you need to be patient.
