SS The probability of having AA and SS is 0.25 but AS is 0.5. There are no guarantee that any of your child will be AA or AS, they could all be SS which is really dangerous. You might think to yourself, I can handle it. You can't, having a kid with sickle cell drains all the happiness in a marriage. So what's the need to get married to someone when you there are pointers to problem in the future? As AS the only person you can marry is AA. don't negotiate your long-term happiness for a short time passion. AS can marry AS but there are risks involved which is avoidable |
