change it asap, that score is too low to give you medicine. Most people who scored above 300 applied for medicine and certainly unilag would be tops in thier choice.

To be sincere, you are over-qualified to study medicine. Its Post-ume that's the main determinant. Once you can get 85%, combined with this 259, admission is certain!

Look at the results in this forum most people are scoring above 200, the guys who applied for medicine are hitting 300+, what makes you think they can't equally score 80 in postume?.

I will say you have a better chance at Nursing with 259 than at Medicine. Your chances are much much much Higher if you change it now to nursing. #cheers.

My opinion though. Besides I've read a testimony on this same forum! I've forgotten where the thread is. Something like 'Diary of a medical student' by one Mastermind moniker.
The simple truth is that most of the people that are 'blasting' Jamb with very high scores usually becone very relaxed. They think that they will be considered first, because of their scores. Universities don't care about your high UTME score. They want to see you do the magic in their own exam!

From experience admission into medicine is not easy. Ive seen guys with 270 who didn't get admission and ive seeen people with 25 who got admitted for the same medicine in d same school. I know UNIPORT for example values p. Utme more than jamb. I was in d admissions office one time and some one said she had 300 in JAMB and d admission officer said even if u have 400/400 if u dont pass post utme well no admission for u. So dont give up
