Is he planning to get a SA visa from Mozambique or he has any SADC nations' passport to enter SA without a visa? Which I think is difficult to get.

Or he is planning to jump the fence into the country from Mozambique without a visa. If later is his plan he should hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

Hello Gurus in the house, I need your advice. I applied for short term Visitor visa early February to attend a Trade Expo in Johannesburg. My application was processed and visa was issued within 3 days. Due to some personal reasons and my work schedule, I could not make it down to Johannesburg for the event. Though the Visa still valid till May 24th 2018 but the condition on the Visa is that I should only be admitted for a period of 7 days, which I know it isn't a barrier for me. I have a good job here.

My question now is this: CAN I STILL USE THE VISA LATER BEFORE IT EXPIRES? I intend to take a leave from work soon and travel somewhere to relax. If its possible to use the Visa, I hope there won't be any problem at the POE because I am using the Visa for vacation not Trade Expo??

Please Advice!

There is absolutely no problem cos it's a short stay visa, just make sure you booked hotel accommodation before leaving. At POE, they will definitely ask some few questions as regards your length of stay, accommodation. A brief explanation will suffice, but subject to what they ask you.

South Africa does not issue visa at the border.
What will be his immigration status in Mozambique to apply for a SA visa?

Only SADC passport holders and some visa free countries can enter SA through land without a visa.
Nigerian passport holders are required to apply for a visa in advance at any South African embassy where the applicant has a temporary or permanent resident before proceeding to the republic. Nigerians does not qualify for visa on arrival at the port of entry in their airport.

He can also use the same documents he used for Tanzania visa to apply for SA visa

Oga, I told you to get back to me on this when you pm'ed me. Could have easily collected 835.07 USD PTA @ 360 for you. Already travelled now, Withdraw that money go to aboki and change it. Ask your bankers if they can pay it in USD. I guess Monday is your deadline. No time oga!

is requirement of visa to SA still the same as 2012 till date or it has change

Good day all.
I applied for an SA short stay visa on Monday and was asked to pick up on Wednesday. (Shorter processing time than I expected)

I intend to do a layover in one of the Eastern countries (Kenya/Rwanda) and I'm still trying to decide which airline is better.
Although I'm hovering more towards rwandair.....do they have personalized in-flight entertainment? And I read somewhere of a PTA requirement before you are allowed to check-in. Is that still in place?

I am not sure Rwandair does layover. If you are trying to save money, try ethiopian airline using Jumia travels.

Use Kenya airways, I had a layover of 10hrs en route Lagos from Joburg. I quickly applied for a Kenya transit visa online and I was allowed out of the airport.

For in-flight entertainment, yes they have DVD on all passenger seat.

For PTA, it's a minimum of $500 but if you don't have up to that, no issue.

Pls my sis was denied last week of critical visa based on lack of credibility of docs despite the fact that she submitted genuine docs. She intends to reapply, will she do another police report and medical forms? Thanks.

What doc is not credible. Did your sis show proof of registration with professional body and written confirmation of critical skills letter from professional body.

If you are a Nigerian coming with bachelors degree for University of Pretoria you need SAQA and they might want you to do Honors first. I mean, you stand a better chance getting in for honors than Masters.

Best advice is for you to get a trustworthy person in SA to pay for you and you pay back in naira.
