If that be the case no blacks will be in America, walls would have been built. I am not ready to dig historical facts to buttress this, but can you please name one country where the senate works together with the president as you so wish? Take a look at this, the senate refused to confirm magu because he was indicted on corruption allegations and fingered a corruptible character on antecedents. Yet the president refused to sack or replace Magu and the most annnoying is Nigerians turned a deaf ear and blind eye to this. Showing we don't even support our senate. Yet we criticize our senate for doing their job and properly scrutinizing the character called Magu. The question is, is Magu the only one for the Job in Nigeria. Nigerians believe the hogwash that Magu is doing a fantastic job whereas he is only dancing to the drum his master beats

And when it comes to political grandstanding who is more guilty of this, the senate or the presidency. Buhari is in the news celebrating mediocrity of getting things confused, the media celebrates him all the time and even the people. You are made to believe his hogwash anti-corruption fight. He can deceive Nigerians but not the world. Saraki, Dino are always in the news for the wrong reasons. The media has nevertheless celebrated them for passing and reviewing a bill. Reference a page a national daily to me where encomium was given to the senate for passing a bill.

This a question bothering on constitutionality.the constitution has given the powers of ordering sequence to inec already,let nass amend the constitution.finally,for the senate to veto the president,they need 2/3 which is 73 but pro buhari has 46 senators which has killed the bill.buhari has won.after buhari's 2nd tenure they can regroup.i hope buhari uses this coming elections to install senators loyal to him.

Actually, I suspect it is those senators who're NOT part of the "46," that will more likely be prevented from or denied their party's ticked to re contest for their senate positions. Just watch. Their governors - especially those governors who are openly or clandestinely pro-Buhari - are waiting for them. Three prominent, clear and almost sure examples: Dino Melaye, Shehu Sani, and Rabiu Kwankwaso.

In a related sense, I tend to believe some analyses I read that suggest that, those senators driving this polls sequence change agenda, are the ones who're certain their party would not give them a chance to re contest. In which case, they thought they'd have a somewhat better chance of coming back/regaining their seats on another platform, provided their own election is scheduled away from those that will involve the doyen of their current party. Even that type of permutation will most probably amount to building castles in the air, though, IMHO.

To answer your question, the National Assembly can change the order of election because they have the constitutional right to do so. Then may I tell you that most of the senators you claim will thread with coution came from the same party as Saraki to join the APC. They would overide him because he has lost the respect of the entire country.

Actually, the Executive-proposed budget for 2018 has been on the lap of the NASS since the tail end of October, 2017 — a period of more than one third of the budget year already.
