Very stupid people, the ondo part from Lagos to Benin needs attention.

Why start a bogus project when the existing interstate road is still in poor condition.
do you see RCC working on it? be positive for once.

Define "coastal State"

That term may mean a different thing to you
My "clarification" does not say what you are saying but you can believe what you like without help from me

You can enter Ogun state from the Atlantic without passing through any state
Yeah Ogun Iijebu waterside but the area is quite marshy

He just wants to be called a Lagos boy, lol.

Lekki division of Lagos is actually supposed to be a coastal section of Ogun state.
You have a point. Actually most of Lagos state as it is today belong to the Ijebus. Even Ikorodu.

It's good to be called a Lagos boy grin. Though my grannie is from Epe division. So, like Ambode I have a chance of ruling Lagos someday cool

If this works people can turn off at Ore and use this route to Lekki VI,hopefully it can be extended to Warri and beyond
can it be extended down to bayelsa rivers state and akwa ibom via coastal lines?

You didn't get my point. What I am saying is that, by land Ode-Omi to Ise in Epe division is not more than 10 minutes on a good road. Whereas there is no link between Ode-Omi and other communities in Ogun by land. The closest community is Makun and there is a long stretch of lagoon separating the two towns. So, Ode- Omi ought to have been in Epe division. May be that is why Lagos is disputing the fact that the community belongs to it.
That Logic doesnot make any sense. What is clear to me is you must be very young and do not knoow much about your history.

How many roads were in existence at independence in 1960? People did not travel from Ikorodu to Lagos Island by road in the 1950s they crossed the Lagoon by Canoe

In 1975 there was no Lagos Ibadan Express road if you wanted to travel from Lagos to the East you went through Ikorodu.

So your good road theory did not come into anything when Lagos state in 1967 was created and even much later. There weren't any roads anyway

Have you ever been to the Niiger Delta ? How many comunities are connected by Road? That argument does not work

People are grouped together because they have affinity, Want to be grouped together or perhaps do not fit in anywhere else.
In the 50s and 60s many of these places were never permanently occupied and when so with very tiny populations.
You need also to be aware of local history . During the slave trade some of these communitys were raided by their neighbours and so grouping them together after colonizaton is not as straightforward as you imagine. The idea that there was one happy "Yoruba" family before colonization is pure fiction. Such groupings had a lot of undertones beyond mere proximity.

Its people like you that they will continue to deceive with long elephant projects like this that we know will probably come into existence when we are all dead and gone while a simple one that has been in use and is in a need of rehabilitation is causing hardship to the citizens.

NDDC and osopadec should explain what exactly. Has NDDC finished connecting community's where oil is found with other communities within the same state? How long does it usually take NDDC to finish a road project eg east west road.
we your pessimism stop the the sun from shinning?

Ogun State is a coastal State right from inception.

And a lot of what is today Lagos state actually belong to Ogun State: Ikorodu, Epe, Badagry etc

Sure a good idea but implementation let us wait and see.

How do they belong to Ogun State?

Lagos State was created in 1967 long before Ogun State was created?

Why do people just sit down in their houses and manufacture facts.

When was Ogun State created?

Please stop peddling nonsense

I didn't mention road, I said land. It's a General assumption that its less costlier to construct a road on land than on water. That is my point. Aside cultural affinity and the brotherhood involved, Ode-Omi has no business being in Ogun state.

Go and ask your elders. Where was cannibalism practiced in recent past and even till tomorrow. Also asked where twins where being slaughtered before Mary Slessor put an end to it. We in Ogun state are civilized and humane!

OK I must have a problem reading road.
Because it looks to me like you mentioned road

I do not know what you are talking about.

In the Niger Delta there are literally Thousands ,I repeat thousands of communities separated from others by water

Lagos State was created in 1967 while Ogun was created in 1976. Take some time to reflect on that. Lagos was created long before Ogun State and all the communities that "had business" being in Lagos State were added.
Ogun was carved out of Western State .

What are the criteria that determines who has business being in Lagos State.

What do you know about Lagos State.
I believe youu are young from much of what you have written Geography is not really a significant criteria certainly not the most important.

Who are the people that actually live in those places? Do you know them? Do you know the deities they worship?
Do you know their history and peculiarities

Let me ask you a simple question

What is the land link between Eko and a the rest of the mainland. How come for centuries it has been home to Edo ,Nupe etc. Thoses bridges have not always been there.

Lagos is opening a dispute because of Oil

Those of us that are Lagos through and through can teach you a thing or two about Lagos and Lagos State.
