Lekki phase 1! 3 hours?!
Anytime you are in Lekki Phase 1 and a trip request doesn't come in 15 minutes, start driving cruising towards Ajah through Freedom Way. Say you don't get a trip before reaching Chevron drive traffic lights, turn into Chevron drive and cruise towards Ebeano there; cruise out again. Total journey time from Phase 1 to Chevron drive is like 20 minutes, I swear, a trip must drop in that time.
Buy Origin for me later

Yes you are totally right, yesterday I carried a rider from magodo and we headed to ikate, during the trip I noticed she was frowning and mute, I told her if she like she can play music with her phone if she doesn’t like the station sound city fm, also I offered her mentos original gum I usually buy at shoprite, she rejected and said she just want to get to her destination that’s what she’s concerned about, so I said okey and continued my trip without a word again, on getting to ikoyi bridge she said I should turn back and take her back to magodo, it’s like what she was going for has been canceled, she frowned more and grumbled that now she’s wasting money up and down. We got to Magodo I ended the trip and showed her the fare, she said ok and wanted to leave my car without paying me, I called her back and told her it was a cash, she said no it’s card so I showed her from my phone, so she couldn’t argue than to give me the cash, she did a transfer to me I thanked her, she didn’t even respond, so I left, few minutes later I checked my rating it dropped immediately. cry she’s putting her bad day on me. Before some will come Nd say shit, my car is very very neat and sound without any sound, also I have 3 different air fresheners and my ac it’s as cold as a freezer, I use Honda and it’s a personal car so I don’t joke with it.
hope u rate her 1star too in advance

It will get worst, over 300 people join both platform daily, too many cars no riders.

Most uber riders lack empathy, it's not enough that you take them from pick off to drop off without issues, you have to open the door, clean their shoes, leave change for them, even after doing all these it's not certain you'll get a 5 star rating. They're just impossible

ridwanadedapo:
One thing I can’t stand about a lot of people on UBER ratings . Not everybody but a lot. They rate you how they feel. They feel good the rate you good. They feeling bad and guess how they’re going to rate you... just too bad

you have no idea the number partners who leave the business every day because of vehicle maintenance issues.

You also have no idea the number of riders that enter the market every day, I have taught a lot of spare part suppliers that it is cheaper to use uber to my workshop than pay Bike 2000 from ladipo Mushin to ogba. Do you think he will not use uber for other activities? The market will soon explode. Mean while from 7pm to 11:11pm I made 7190 yesterday.

Wait oooo are you saying the guy Andalusia or something doesn't have any form of experience?

If he's the one, please friends and well wishers, tell him, taking hp w/o any form of e-hailing experience not driving experience is SUICIDAL.

Theory is way different from practical.
Packaging will not service the car or do repairs as under hp he will do everything and still remit rental, slightest default, he looses everything!

If he's the one ooo, there's a problem cos I remember taking my sweet time to advise him on the importance of starting with rental and I mentioned Experience.

But he compounded my secondary school understanding of the issue with more oyibo and subliminal side boots.

Like I said earlier, e-hailing business has evolved in Nigeria to been pure street!!!

Udo Ụmụnnem.

Experience for e-hailing business is grossly overrated.

All that is required is to be a good driver and simple common sense.

I decided to test driving on Uber

My first week driving was last week and I did 92k on Uber after Uber deductions and I dont even know Lagos roads, just making use of maps

No major strategy other than following tips that has been dropped by our Oga's here, then figuring out residential and commercial areas in any location I find myself In relation to time.

Example in the morning, I'll rather want to be in ajah axis than vi, but will prefer vi in the evening.

A lot of luck is involved cos you can't always dictate your destination, a lot depends on where the rider is going, but you can always try to figure out the most suitable spot in each area based on time and general likely movement of people

But certainly, I quickly figured out a lot of hardwork is involved... I did an average of 10 trips daily to get 10-15k daily average earnings. it's not easy. you need to be someone who enjoys driving.

I'm still learning, I'm sure they're better ways of achieving the same goals without that much stress.

Yea on point. But the number of partners coming into d biz everyday is far bigger than number of partners leaving, As for riders they will only increase in numbers as time goes on, because tranportation is a necessity and population in Lagos is very large
