I think I will want to agree with abiodulasa. His argument is about the drop off of the dapchi girls and the support of the locals at that particular point in time.
I take one of his points to stress out again;some weeks back BHT came to kidnap with everybody scampering for safety and you think those same people will welcome them at their return? My explanation to the video of 2014 is that BHT have conquered that territory, most of the people have no option but to come out and hail BHT, they could even have been forced to do so. This doesn't mean there are no locals sympathetic to BHT.
abiodunalasa:
This video cant be true...
The girls were dropped off around 3am. Well, thats what the government said. And it is plausible. Given that the news broke out today as early as 7am.

Who release this video ? Is it the media or BHT ?
Because the govt was so clinical about the OPs. No media house was granted entry to area even hours after BHT dropped off the girls and left.

Anyway, in stories like this, there are always 3 sides. The government side, the Terrorists side and the real side of the story.

Who should we believe? The notorious Lie Mohammed or the people of Dapchi?

The people of Dapchi, backed by pictorial evidences claimed the terrorists dropped the kidnapped girls 0700 hour but Lia Muhammed, thousands of miles away, claimed it was 0300hour.

See as ecstatic youth cheered terrorists, smh. Probably, almajiri.

This just means the Government made some kind of deal with Boko Haram and Bokoharam probably told the Government that they'd drop of the girls at 3am, then some crazy slowpoke in Government decided to jump the Gun and tell the press that the Girls have been released, which basically screwed up the whole plan because now everyone wants to know how the Government knew that they were suppose to be released at 3am.

As expected, they have been denying all over the media that no deal took place but one must be super duper gullible to believe that.

The bottom line is the girls are safely back with their parents. Although, one Christian girl wasn't released because of her faith.

Why would Nigerian government negotiate such a terrible deal that would leave an innocent girl behind just because of her religion? Food for thought.

REPENTANT BOKO HARAM TERRORIST SURRENDERS TO
22 BRIGADE TROOPS

It is obvious that the fight against the insurgents is a decisive engagement as the Nigerian military is fully committed to the battle. This is paying great dividends as the insurgents could no longer take the heat. Operation Deep Punch 2 and other Operations have decimated and uprooted Boko Haram Terrorists (BHT) from their stronghold in Sambisa forest. One of the Shekau’s Amirs in Malumri village under Bama Local Government Area of Borno State, who realized how badly they have lost in their fight has surrendered to the troops.

At the early hours of Tuesday 20 March 2018 Mallam Ramat Alamin aged 47 and Shuwa by tribe was intercepted by troops of 22 Brigade Garrison deployed along road Dikwa – Gulumba Gana. Mallam Ramat said he came to Dikwa to surrender himself to the troops due to the fact that Boko Haram Terrorists group could no longer hold itself and they are presently in disarray with little or no logistics to carry out their nefarious attacks. He disclosed that his personal weapon AK 47 rifle with Registration No: H3 2538, four AK 47 empty magazines and one motorcycle were hidden behind Government Teachers College Dikwa while trying to enter the town to surrender.

He also said that, many of the terrorists are willing to surrender due to hunger and lack of basic logistics but are scared of the consequences.

It is good and courageous for him to surrendered and would be recommended for Government de-radicalization programme. He gave out some information and encouraged other terrorists to take a cue from him and surrender in order to ensure lasting peace and stability in the North Eastern part of Nigeria.

PRESS RELEASE

76 DAPCHI ABDUCTED STUDENTS RELEASED IN ONGOING PROCESS - FG

The directive by President Muhammadu Buhari to all security agencies
to do everything possible to secure the release of the Dapchi
schoolgirls, who were abducted 19 Feb. 2018, has yielded fruits, with
the confirmed release of 76 of the 110 abducted students in the early
hours of Wednesday.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday, the Minister of
Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said the 76 are those
who have been documented so far, adding that the release of the
abducted students is ongoing.

He said the girls were released around 3 a.m. through back-channel
efforts and with the help of some friends of the country, and that it
was unconditional.

''For the release to work, the government had a clear understanding
that violence and confrontation would not be the way out as it could
endanger the lives of the girls, hence a non-violent approach was the
preferred option.

''Within the period when the girls were being brought back,
operational pause was observed in certain areas to ensure free passage
and also that lives were not lost,'' Alhaji Mohammed said.

He said the number of the freed girls would be updated after the
remaining ones have been documented, especially because the girls were
not handed over to anyone but dropped off in Dapchi.

Boko Haram Has Enslaved Only Christian Among Kidnapped Girls Of Dapchi

The only Christian among the schoolgirls kidnapped in Dapchi, Yobe State, last month, will not be released as she has been enslaved by Boko Haram, SaharaReporters has learned. At least 101 out of the 110 students kidnapped from Government Girls' Technical College, Dapchi, were released early on Wednesday. Five of them, according to those who regained freedom, died before they got to the terrorists' camp.
