Take note of this 3 sectors he mentioned, Health, Education and Oppotunities, our health sector is dead like really dead, let's not talk about education cos we can't even go there. Last which opportunity is here for the youth. I hear people always saying here on Nairaland that the youth should not travel out of Nigeria that there is a lot of opportunities. Like seriously where, someone graduated from school okay he was able to learn barbing so that after Nysc he can open a shop and start small till he get a good job. But where is the money for clipper, fan, Small Gen, Wall mirror etc. not to talk of paying for store rent. I mean Nigeria is going down every minute of the day and some people are here just spewing trash maybe because they have a good job or maybe some of them were opportuned to be born with a Silver spoon. Mr bil's view on Nigeria's issue reminds me of the course I did in oau-TPD.The course highlighted why Nigeria is still developing. It stated that there is no link btw our educational system and the industry. For ur economy to thrive you must build human capital.One thing you will noticed abt developed countries is that many of their inventions and innovations come from academics, which is part of human capital. There is a great link btw their educational system and their industries. They were able to change their economy for the better because they focused and still focusing on human capital.When u invest more on you people you are duin so to eliminate any emergency spending on the consequences of you not duin so.For example if the northern government spend much on education we will only have little worries abt insurgency or no worries at all.Our inability to fund education in north is causing us much on insurgency in the north right now.Education is a great tool to develop our country.But the major stakeholders in developing our country have turned to hustlers (entrepreneurs) to eke out livelihood. Such people ought to be in a solitary place looking for ways to invent things that will bring great change to our country. So the problem is not buhari but our mentality about development. 3 Likes |
