Atiku Reacts To Bill Gates’ Statement Against Buhari’s Economic Plan by Abjay97(m): 9:05am On Mar 23, 2018
Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the statement credited to philanthropist and founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates concerning Nigeria’s Economic plan.

Bill Gates at the expanded national economic council presided over by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo said that President Buhari’s economic recovery growth plan (ERGP) does not truly reflect the needs of Nigerians.

He was quoted as saying “The Nigerian government’s economic recovery and growth plan identify investing in our people as one of three strategic objectives.

“But the execution priorities don’t fully reflect people’s needs, prioritising physical capital over human capital.”

Reacting, Atiku hailed Bill Gates for his interest and support in the economic growth of Nigeria.

The Former Vice President wrote on his Twitter page “I applaud @BillGates for his interest and support of Nigeria.

“I share his concerns of the challenges we face and believe as he does they can be overcome when we as a nation consciously make requisite investments in our human capital and infrastructure.”

How do we get it right in this country? Since 1999, political parties v always presented quack candidates as aspirants to Us n we r forced to choose amongst them? The National Assembly is doing nothing to the clamour for independent candidate. Our votes is as useless as the present, past n next president of Nigeria because cross carpeting is what these folks know how to do best.

The real problem I see here is the backward minds who aren' t ready to embrace human capital development but multiply human capital.
We have to look at smaller nations like Finland, Canada, UK, Israel, or Japan with small but developed human capital base.
If we keep doing quota system and playing crab-in-a-bucket politics with human capital then we are only fooling ourselves.

Always reacting like a chemical, all for 2019.
Meanwhile, Bill Gates may not be aware of the many social investment programmes going on, like the npower, Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP), Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT), Home Grown School Feeding Programme (HGSF) and many more or may be trying to play to the gallery. But our able VP was able to let him know what government is doing that has never been done before. The former Mexican President commended government's efforts in this regard during the recent Ogun Economic summit.

So Atiku should jusy chill, he has already lost the backing of wailers and IPODs who were his main supporters.

The major reason for the 2015 election by APC was to grab power at all cost, not for any economic promotion or recovery.
