I think the man is right. But it is not synonymous with Buhari's government alone, it is Nigeria's problem.

So you all had to wait for Mr Gates to give a review before naysayers could have an opinion on the EGRP. His critic is the only feedback on the plan I have seen anywhere and most of the comments including Reno and Ben Bruce on his observation are shallow at best

Here's what I understand by his welcome feedback,the plan focuses on Physical capital and development,e.g build roads and improve rails ,achieve ,self sustainance in rice,wheat and tomatoes ,improve oil and non oil revenue generation,increase income from taxation, improve savings,etc it appears Mr Gates is arguing that our EGRP should also include Human development priorities such as Education,good health care and fighting malnutrition,

Invariably he is tying successful economic growth to both physical and human development

A useful feedback for the next EGRP,prioritize not just physical but both physical and human development. but in the recession the country started with one can understand why the focus appeared to be on economic indices only,you can say they started first with what can raise capital to fund human development

That said ,Nigeria has not abandoned human development entirely ,the country through its Ministries departments and agencies such as health and education have their own plans dedicated to human development so the Local critics can review those before saying "nothing is happening" or just take a back seat

Take note of this 3 sectors he mentioned, Health, Education and Oppotunities, our health sector is dead like really dead, let's not talk about education cos we can't even go there. Last which opportunity is here for the youth. I hear people always saying here on Nairaland that the youth should not travel out of Nigeria that there is a lot of opportunities. Like seriously where, someone graduated from school okay he was able to learn barbing so that after Nysc he can open a shop and start small till he get a good job. But where is the money for clipper, fan, Small Gen, Wall mirror etc. not to talk of paying for store rent. I mean Nigeria is going down every minute of the day and some people are here just spewing trash maybe because they have a good job or maybe some of them were opportuned to be born with a Silver spoon. Dear youth if you have the chance to travel abroad legally please do not think twice take the risk and I bet you on the long run you would be glad you did.

Honestly, you deserve a statue for this. Some will just type without considering the reality on ground.
