Abeg, what's up with Oga taxi. Do you get frequent requests?

Funny since I activated my taxify, I seem to be getting more request on taxify than uber which is kinda surprising to me.

I think general riders believe is that it's cheaper to use taxify than uber. Make dem hold onto that believe o. E dey sweet my belle. grin
Yes, I get request on ogataxi though not as frequent as taxify. Try them during rush hour, Agungi lekki etc.

Hazards of the business. sad

As a rule I always ask customers to re-check if the left anything in the back seat.

A rider forgot a bunch of keys in the back of my vehicle,
when I was in lekki, and called when I was in ogba, i said she will pay for trip, both ways or I will drop the keys in uber office.

This is becoming a norm for uber drivers. They don't switch on AC before picking rider, at d end AC won't cool well.

I'm riding with one as I type, My kids n I r sweating n he insist it's working.

No prob, low rating awaits him!

Easy ooo, madam with power of rating to destroy another man's source of livelihood . How many minutes was the wait time ? That he will keep running the engine with AC before you show up. You will have a stop over and he will keep running engine. Yet you was 35k weekly delivery as a partner. How will he make profit?

For d record, I don't keep drivers waiting, I make sure I'm ready before I make request. I do d waiting!

Even if d AC has to be off, I expect it to be turned on immediately a request comes in.

Nah so that our silver honda city driver come back after battery replacement say a/c no de chill as before, I asked him what happened, he said he got to pic up point, turned on a/c, 4 adults got into car and they were not comfortable so they asked him to end trip.

Car that was under sun for 2hours, you now carry 4 hot people plus your self and expect miracles? Better to keep the a/c running all the time, so the cabin stays cold.

If a driver with 1.3liter engine is offing a/c to save fuel can he make heaven? grin
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by ridwanadedapo(m): 2:50pm On Mar 24, 2018
This is wicked if you do so! You don’t need to spoil another man’s life even when you know the consequences of your action. The only thing I expect of you is advise him and move on. I take UBER most time and am always happy to rate 5atars with good comment cos that’s the only way to encourage them.
Though the purpose of the Uber rating system is to promote good driver behavior. Poorly rated drivers with dirty cars and bad attitudes are naturally flushed out of the system. But when I have a bad or even mediocre experience with a driver, I view the situation pragmatically by assessing the risk and reward by giving that driver a low rating but what good does it do me to give him a low rating? It will make him a little upset, I gain nothing.

I strongly disagree with you.

Do you know why some riders have a bad attitude towards most drivers? It's because of situations like this.

They have met with so many uncultured drivers with faulty vehicles and assume all of them are the same.

A driver with bad a/c should not be on a trip, he should fix it or paint his car yellow with black stripes.

The reason for the rating system is to remove the bad eggs from the system.

There is no sentiment attached to doing business on uber or taxify, there are certain standards that should be upheld.

I really don't understand why they put off the ac or wait till they get to pick up point before they on Ac..
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by ridwanadedapo(m): 3:33pm On Mar 24, 2018
Am not here to argue this but the rating system is very wrong! I am saying this cos I know better but sometimes people rate not cos of drivers attitude or conditions of the vehicle but rather rate based on their personal life and which is very bad. Any car can develop fault at any moment, and the driver might not know until a rider notified or he get to know himself and I don’t think a rider needs to judge him with that by rating him low.

Every driver has the way the run their business! So, you expect a driver to be running on AC for 30 - an hour while waiting for request? Some will do it and some won’t. it’s not economical.

Both of you will never cross paths on Uber.

The fact that you are a driver and rating a driver like you low cos of AC wasn’t cold on arrival is unjustifiable.
Am saying this as a rider and a drivers perspective.

a good ac should cool up the car room within 2minutes. I usually put on my ac as i head to d pick up. Then engine and ac will be on for at least 3 minutes if i have to wait for the rider. Some riders are not ready before requesting and so take about 7-10 mins before coming out. What to do then; i out put off the engine till they enter the car.

Meanwhile no one has survived my ac at LO in the evening. At MID in the afternoon, it will cool and dry ur face unless u adjust the vent away. Except in those very hot afternoon i put it at MID-HI. Very chill. Thanks to my ac man!

Speaking about Uber, I don't actually loke to use their service. I've been using car renting service instead, last time I was in Europe and used http://ukr-prokat.com/en/ there. They have pretty good price, so there is no need to use taxi.

2 types of Compressors, single displacement and variable displacement, better fuel economy on the variable type.

E.g variable displacement Compressors (honda city,
toyota Yaris, kia rio 07-18) examples of single displacement (toyota corrola 2003-7 usa/canada honda accord 03-11, )
