Please, go ahead and override the dullard. He's not diplomatic. Its a shame that he's not having the majority support of the lawmakers. We ought to have no that this man lack diplomacy, which social event has he ever been invited to before he became the president. The answer is; NONE. 2 Likes |

The single fact of FG secretly using this party to drag National Assembly which is an independent arm of government to court has rendered the executive and legislature irreconcilable. Where is the principle of separation of powers? Why didn't this party take the National Assembly to court about PIB or Peace Corps bill? Why electoral act? Every sensible and frank person in this country knows that the truth is conducting presidential election first is not good. It causes bandwagon effect on the subsequent elections. We want it last. 3 Likes 1 Share |

It's a pity id i ots and fo o ls have infested Nairaland, imagine not a single sensible respond to an act of the senate that has the potential to completely erode what is left of our feeble democracy. Nobody even bothered to discuss the legality of this move. Is it right or not? is INEC under the control of the NA or senate? Should the NA or SENATE be the ones to dictate how and in what sequence election should be held? If this is allowed to stand where and to what extend should they be allowed to interfere? These and many more are questions that needs answering not what we are witnessing. |

AlPeter: You are the one without brains here. There is separation of power and the legislative arm should n allowed to do it's job. This ammendment will infact even strengthen our democracy more as there won't be any bandwagon effect post presidential election. 2 Likes 1 Share |

AlPeter: INEC still retains it's powers to set election timetable and dates. The sequence is the problem here and no true believer of democracy should be against this. Unless you show me a law/act that stops the NA from electoral act ammendment, then you are just being a nuisance. 2 Likes 1 Share |

People are angry against buhari,s government bcoz of slot of reasons, For the masses 1.hunger(no money in circulation go and ask the painter, plumber, mechanic etc whether there is work. People are dying of hunger. 2.for those with supposed job. Take home pay doesn't take anybody home again. Bcoz before it gets home things like fuel, price of foodstuff, electricity cost etc has taken it before it even gets home. And these is for good private companies and govt that pays regularly but u and I know most jobs only pay at least once in three months. 3.forex( u can come and meet dollar at 150-200 and now it double and expect people to clap for u). 4.this buhari appointees are always in a hurry to take out their frustrations on the masses like 300% increase in electricity cost, old vehicle should go and do custom papers etc. Bede2u: 2 Likes |
