That said, an atheist, those born into a religion at least, do go through periods of doubting their atheist stance as their theistic indoctrination tends to run very deep. I often come across atheists with strongly held religious ideology that they were born into, and it's not unusual to hear them say, "Oh my god".

Personally, I was not indoctrinated into religion and could be classified as a tabula rasa in a sense. I never quite knew religion till I was 7, and by then, you might as well have tried to convince me that fairys and elves were real. Eventually, one would stop and claim to know for certain.
