Since many northern states are under Shari'a law; and since many Nigerians lack understanding of how it works, let's enlighten ourselves, instead of all the constant bickering.
Let's start.

1. What does your holy book say about the quest for political power?

2. Is the looting of public funds a crime in Islam? If so, what types of crime us it under? And what are the punishments for each type of crime under Shari'a law?

3. What is the position of Islam on lies? Are you permitted to lie in your job? What types are there, what are the spiritual consequences and what is the punishment for each type under Shari'a law?

These three should provide some fodder for the weekend.
