Buhari was on a state visit, he couldn't have come in a public transportation.

It is normal to have a "road close" situation to facilitate the president's movement and reduce the risk of assassination. Even in the US, roads are closed and traffic redirected. It's nothing new.

Could the situation have been better handled? Probably.

Blaming the president for the poor handling of traffic is in poor taste.

For all his faults and failings, the president is entitled to official state visits as part of his duties.

Funny though, a white Briton pretending to understand the complexities of African politics.

First, you're assuming that I actually live in Nigeria or anywhere near Africa.

Second, you need to stop thinking that anytime a white person insults you, then they are absolutely correct.

Third, the white person isn't Omniscient and above mistakes or foolishness. They are very much like you with the melanin abundant complexion. They aren't your God.

Fourth, my opinion is still very much valid. You'll never see the president of the US catching a public transport to work, not to talk of official state visit.
