With people like you, the world can see that there are still very few intelligent people in Nigeria.

I couldn't believe what I was reading about a young man who could change Nigeria from people who have had their brains sun fried so much that you would think all the comments here are from a pig farm.

I'm definitely going to have a fundraiser in his honor to encourage youths to participate in politics.
5thElement:
He seems credible. I've followed his antecedents and he's been constant so far.

Most people don't know that this guy single handedly ruined PDP's chances in 2015.

He was the guy that publicly disgraced a serving minister of this country in New York for coming late to her own town hall meeting. Go on YouTube and search for that video.

He's gone toe to toe with military dictatorship in this country and survived.

Hapless politicians have tried unsuccessfully to bribe the dude, he only succeeded in exposing them.

If he contests, he's got my vote.

He may not win the election because Nigerian youths are slow, unintelligent, hungry, self defeating and masochistic in nature.

You'll hear them say stuff like:

"PMB till 2023"

"Vote for Atiku, let us ATIKULATE in 2019"

"Sowore? He has no experience. He should go and contest for his local government"

"He doesn't look like a honest person"

"He is Yoruba..."

Nigerian youths recycle old and tired politicians, then come on Nairaland, Facebook, and twitter to fight amongst themselves and REACT to stupid news of their leaders doing what they know how to do best (embezzling billions).

Nigerian politicians don't need to lose sleep about Sowore becoming a credible threat to them because they know the kind of people they rule over.

But then again, maybe the youths of this nation irrespective of tribe, religion and class can turn this moment into their own Arab spring and make Sowore's campaign a Tsunami that'll break the backbone of the elite class and flush out all these aged and shameless money-gobbling politicians.

We deserve whoever comes in in 2019.

good choice though but sorry
So he's now from "ss or se" now? Wasn't it the other day that so many of the usual suspects were openly declaring they'd never vote for Sowore, no matter what his platform might be, because he was supposedly Yoruba? We simply can't win with you people, even before we've actually said or done anything.

Re: Sowore For President 2019: Youths Begin Street Mobilisation For Sowore In Lagos by omohayek: 9:50am On Apr 01, 2018
My real problems with Sowore's candidacy have nothing to do with whether or not he's Yoruba (which I couldn't care less about), but about

(1) His complete lack of any sort of track record to indicate whether or not he will be any good as a leader,
(2) His refusal (or inability) to put forward a detailed platform suggesting a coherent economic and political philosophy, and
(3) The obvious absurdity and impracticality of the few concrete proposals he's bothered to make, e.g. raising the minimum wage to N100,000.

Certainly, I welcome the participation of new faces like Sowore's in Nigeria's presidential politics, as I am just as fed up of seeing the same old retired generals and their lackeys rotating in and out of Aso Rock as anyone else. I just don't see that Sowore has anything else other than his youth and newness on the scene to recommend him, and as we've seen from the example of "youthful" leaders like Yahaya Bello, just being young doesn't mean you have the first clue about what you're doing.

While we're at it, I find it strange that so many Buhari haters seem to see anything worth supporting in Sowore, who clearly doesn't have the slightest idea about economic matters. As I have said many, many times, Buhari is totally incompetent when it comes to economics and is entirely to blame for the first recession Nigeria has experienced in 25 years, but I don't see how replacing him with another obvious economic illiterate like Sowore will be an improvement. Who needs 4 more years of bumbling where the only change is that the bumbler has fewer wrinkles?

I am just watching, majority have agreed that we no longer want Buhari, fine and good

The big question now is who do we replace Buhari with?

Instead of me voting for Atiku or Lamido, I will vote for Sowore.

Same old mistake, we need credible people in the legislative arm. Even if we elect a saint as president, he'll be frustrated by those idiots in the house. We need sensible people to make meaningful laws that have positive effects on an average Nigerian.

We need an entire overhaul in leadership, not just changing presidents and leaving lawmakers that have been there since 1999.
thats just it. The thieves over there won't allow the progress of this nation.
