How is Trump doing a bad thing here? Amazon/Jeff Bezos paid ZERO, I repeat, ZERO taxes in 2017. In fact he was paid about a net 800 million dollars by the daddy US government! If an Amazon worker earning less than $30,000 paid more taxes than a fucking billionaire... sorry.... the richest man in the world, then you know that it is a broken system that exists in the USA. An oligarchy. Remember even Warren Buffet said a couple of years ago that his secretary paid more taxes than he did.

What Amazon has done is to use its paid lackeys in government especially at the state level on being exempt from tax and even collecting government subsidies for their PRIVATE business. This is a business whose model is to operate at a loss to drive away all competition around it, especially small businesses, and then control more than 50% of the market of the commodity being sold, before hiking their prices. This has made many regular Americans who were using their businesses to get by, close down their shops and made them much poorer plus in more debt.
A rigged system if you ask me, yet gullible Nigerians just see a post and jump on it without knowing the facts. Smh

He didn't pay any taxes in 2017. In fact he was paid more money by the government. A simple google search would show you. Plus I know all this information because I read and investigate my news from different outlets and not rely on fake mainstream media news for my information. People need to be more wise and know that all these billionaires don't give a Bleep about us. We are the slave class or the useless eaters as they call us. Research into a lot of things and you will know most of what you have been taught since you were a kid are mostly lies. Be smart, read books, use the internet to your advantage.

USPS offers Amazon the same discount that any bulk shipper receives.

USPS doesnt make any money from 1st class Mail (regular paper mail) due to technology like Email, Web, etc...However USPS does make money from Parcel delivery like they do for Amazon.

Amazon is the #1 reason USPS delivers on Sunday!

Amazon doesn't get any special favour yes...but since the agreement you talked about USPS deficit jumped from 2 billion to 5.5 billion yearly. If I deliver your good @$10 and you pay me @$3 for the service. You increasing my dispatchment and making me work on Sunday is not you doing me favor but you are obviously increasing my loss. Subsidizing for everybody makes a lot of sense but when world richest man is now the one benefitting billions from grossly increased subsidy payment calls for reflection...

Agreed volume of mails had reduced overtime due to email and other technologies.

These are the two major factors driving USPS deficit and they are all artificial and put in place by the US Congress...

1. USPS cannot set their own rates just like other delivery services. Their rates are far below market rate. You can send a first class mail with an amount less than you can use to buy an envelope and the USPS can do nothing about it.

2. Congress tied their hand and force them to fund employees health and retirement 10 years into the future, even when those monies will not be used. No other US business does that....if you join USPS today, Congress requires the USPS to write a check totally your estimate 10 years retirement to the treasury within a month...if you do not stay until retirement e.g. get another job tomorrow, died, etc the treasury does not refund the money back to the USPS, this is clearly a congressional scam.

So, USPS can become profitable overnight if the shackles around their ankles are removed and they are allowed to function as a business.
