The management of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba, a state owned university in Ondo state shocked student this morning as students logged in to the portal to know their fee for the next academic session which starts on Sunday 8th of April 2018
And the school fee ranged from 120000 to 150000 depending on faculty for returning students
And atleast 180000 for freshers
It will be noted that the students have been at home since 9th of January when the last academic session ended and nothing was said about resumption until there were several agitations on social media telling the government of the state as well as management to stop keeping them in the dark over resumption as no excuse was given for the school’s close down as well as not to carry out their plan of increasing the school.
The governor of the state however said on several occasions that the school fee is too meager and can’t even buy a good shoe, but denied the school fee will be upto 200000 as initially rumored
The students have been expressing their discomfort online as many claimed they can’t afford the fee and the next line of action is yet to be known.
The question now is what will be the fate of the children of the masses? who found it difficult to pay the school fee even when it was 25000+ and had to pay fine for late payment on several occasions.

Humm... Adekunle Ajasin University will forever not forget the Caring Heart governance & students friendly administration of Dr. Olusegun Mimiko.

The Cheapest tuition fee in AAUA under him (Mimiko) was N23,00 & N28,000 as highest between 2009 - 2017 of his administration. The Cheapest now under Barr. Akeredolu is N120,000 & N180,00 as highest paid department.

Thank you Your Excellency, Gomina Oluwarotimi Akeredolu. You have unfortunately limited your leadership literacy to increment in tuition fees as the best way to fund the Most Prestigious State University of yesterday.

Thank you for the forceful dropout of *Kamardeen Oyewole* of the department of Geology whose parents are no more but sponsors himself through Labourer Work in Ikare-Akoko.

It is disheartening to know that my school daughter *Folasade Akinyanju* of Mass Communication Department and whose father is late and her mom, currently a petty Tomatoes Seller at Oja Oba Market in Akure would undoubtedly & sorrowfully drop out of AAUA.

Ohhhhh!!!.......this is not fair Your Excellency, this is not fair.

Greetings sirs,

It is lamentably pitiable that I'm writing this with tears in my eyes and with a sorrow-filled mind.

I Eniolorunopa_Collins a 400l student of Agricultural Extension, hereby write to inform you that I'm done with education at this stage the school fee has gone outrageous.

Let me quickly hark back to how I do pay for the fee then, My father(a retired civil servant) & My mother(on and off trader) has paid for my school fee just once ever since I've started schooling. My sister and I struggled to pay twice and now that I'm almost done schooling it's so melancholy that I just have to drop out as there is no hope on this earth to pay for that exorbitant amount twice before I become a graduate.


I'm not laying emphasis on this to seek for help to further my education but to get you informed how I made it thus far,,,, where I come from? *From the Gutter*(that area where meeting up with 3square meals is a sin,, that area where you have to stay up late at night and wake up very early every morning to get going with the daily struggle,,,that area where laughter is wild and rare).


Thanks for the knowledge you've imparted on me during my stay in AAUA as it will really help me to be my own boss in agribusiness.

If there is one way you could help me, just give me the amount worth paying for the exorbitant fee twice then I start up with it *NOT TO PAY FOR THE SCHOOL FEE* But to project into the future.

I'm so sure many of my *faculty* and *departmental mates* are also on the verge of quitting because that amount is just too *enormous* and *it is poisonous* We really can't afford it; *we are so poor and we can't keep up*
