I implore everyone that got the initial recommendation letter and was asked to upload all necessary documents to do the needful. I don't think this mail was sent in ERROR. I also had the same mail and when I got my mail my status was still showing NOT RECOMMENDED. However, after uploading all the necessary documents requested in the right format (i.e. JPNG) and resubmitted my form, then the final recommendation letter came. And consequently, my status was changed to RECOMMENDED and I am now able to print my invoice. If you submit in the right format all your submitted documents would show in your application status. Otherwise, it will not show. I submitted mine originally in PDF and it was the wrong format. Summarily, I will say those that got the initial recommendation mail should do the following:

1. Upload all requested documents in the right format and resubmit your application.
2. Since the deadline given has expired after doing the above go to the PG School for more inquiry.

Finally, you have to take charge of what you want. Feedbacks here might help, but might not be enough.So, go to the PG school for more inquiries, if indeed, you got the initial recommendation mail

All the documents to be submitted are highlighted in your status. Nevertheless, they are: WAEC certificate, degree certificate, NYSC certificate, marriage certificate(if married) and proposal for masters degree applicants. PHD applicants would have to submit their masters degree certificates. The proposal is more like your application letter to the school.

If your certificate is not ready, you may submit your statement of result temporarily. However, it is in your best interest to get your certificate.

The confirmation will be automatically updated or linked to your profile through your Reg Number just like it was during the purchase of the application form. In other words, once you make the payment your details are automatically saved on the University's portal and you can proceed to login and register for the other forms online just like you were able to login and register on the application form after you paid online last year. There may be no online receipt, only a success message of your transanction and you may save and print the page. But, know that your payment details are already saved on the system and the authority KNOW you have paid the required fee through your Reg Number and/or Invoice No.

However, if you are still scared or not sure about this then go to any GT Bank or FirstBank Plc with your Acceptance Fee form to make the payment. I assure you that it will not be different from the online payment.

Thanks for this insight what of microbiology department I only saw the mail on 24 of March no counter email and it didn't reflect on my portal that I have been recommended, I was not able to generate acceptance invoice. Does this mean that no recommendation even after the email

Yes, it is either your department has not recommended anybody or you were not recommended. You should ask from those you know who applied to microbiology to confirm. The mail from PG school is an error.

No, I was assigned a supervisor BEFORE the payment of my Acceptance Fee. I have contacted the supervisor via email and he said he might not actually be the one to supervise me or others when I finally get admitted as the names of the supervisors in the mails sent to some of us are not going to supervise us at the end of the day, others would. He further stated that I should just go on with all the necessary registrations as soon as possible.

Did you receive a mail to re-upload documents that are not visible? If yes, that was not a recommendation email. It was sent in error to everybody. A recommendation email should bear the name of your supervisor

What could be the reason for this costly mistake,cause right about now, i am really fed up,wat are the criteria for being recommended and of late,I even realise the so called acceptance form is not showing on my portal again,it states error when u click on it,any better explanation for all these?

PG school management is useless.

I believe the Acceptance Form which is no longer visible or opening on everyone's profile in recent days will open after one has paid the Acceptance Fee of about N20,200 or more. The website's Admin made the Acceptance Form inaccessible at the moment for a reason, don't you think? Pay your Acceptance Fee first and see if the problem persist for over 24 hours.

Not scared bro just that I have a scholarship I want to apply for in UI which requires evidence of registration and it closes month end. That's my worry or do you think payment of acceptance can serve as evidence for registration.? Thanks for the update,I really appreciate.

It is not possible. The acceptance form and the acceptance invoice or on entirely different websites and such, data cannot be exchanged between the two. I'm not saying it's not possible, but UI IT department lacks the skills and expertise to achieve this. Look at the wack website. Do you know it lacks security and I can access anyone's portal and even edit it?

u just spoke my mind my friend,so disorganise,why should an applicant pay acceptance fee wen u not accepted yet,all form of payment should be done after admission letter and not vice versa,thought everything was going on fine when I saw acceptance form,thinking admission letter will follow suite,all of a sudden things became unclear again

That same resources deployed to prepare the acceptance invoice would have been used to prepare the admission letter and I see nothing tedious in preparing the letter other than pulling the student's info from his portal and using it to write the letter (all automated)

I can't really say much but I believe it's not not a easy process as we think it's.
As stated in the mail reply above, the process was changed due to some reasons, that is explanatory enough.

I think an official statement should be released as regards this, and mails sent to individuals.. Because not everyone is aware of this, except those on nairaland, and they will keep waiting for the acceptance letter...the process is kinda awkward and annoying this time
