When armed robbers took my car in a roundabout in Ilorin and guys were arrested and paraded in front of me, none of them even bore any resemblance to the guys that collected my car at gunpoint. You wouldn't believe that some of them were arrested for not being able to produce receipt for phones or laptops.

All you shouting innocent souls are the ones arrested should pls shut up! cut the NPF some slacks pls! Moreover, 9 officers were killed...meaning their either engaged them or try to pull some stunts on them...it was acclaimed the robbers had superior fire power. RIP to the dead

Armed robbers collected my car at gunpoint. They were later apprehended but some people had suffered for it. Even some university students suffered for it for not being able to show receipts for their laptops and phones. My car was recovered three days later. It appeared like the armed robbers used it to get away. They didn't touch anything inside.

My point is that our police need thorough discipline. They make quick arrests just to give the impression that they are efficient and working but most of the time, the first arrests are always off target. Pray never to find yourself in such a mess because even if it turns out that you were innocent, they will still collect money from you before letting you off their hook.

Why do I have this feeling that these seven suspects are innocent people arrested to make the police look efficient?

Stop this stereotype baba. Police do arrest criminals for real. Not at times do they arrest innocent people. This type of issue has national outcry and many policemen were killed. They are going to arrest these guys. I even knew it before now.

Reinforcement was sent from Ilorin to Offa. Reinforcement from MOPOL, CTU, SARS and anti kidnapping. To gather a tactical team in Nigeria, you'll need a minimum of 5-10 minutes for them to roll out of the state police headquarters.

Distance from Ilorin to Offa should also be considered .

The main problem here is why does Offa lack a formidable tactical team around? Plus, does this mean the Nigerian police lack patrol teams in a town like Offa?

The country's security situation needs to be readdressed. I see ACP Kyari team arresting these guys soon.

They are on the road waylaying innocent and harmless Nigerians. They are not paid to confront robbers but to extort and oppress harmless people.

I believe those guys are the owners of the abandoned vehicles. I pity any of them that refused to make police entry wen his car was stolen.

I bet the suspect arrested in Igosun will be one hunter or farmer who was out trying to fend for himself and family that day,not knowing there was an armed robbery attack in the town.
That Igosun road those vehicles were abandoned might be up to 10km from Offa town and no innocent farmer,hunter or even villager there would have had an inkling of what went down.

bro the police didn't engage them at all those guys first went to their station and opened fire on them, some of them were even trying to run away when they were killed
