So I tend to wonder, what happened to the scores of young homegrown Nigerian inventors often highlighted in our media?

You don't understand because you've never had excess money - you'd be glad to see something a regular person CAN'T buy. Also, how else will people know u got money unless u spend on ridiculously expensive stuff that a regular person won't buy and that will make the news.

What then is the use of having billions if nobody knows it, when less than 1m can take care of all your needs.

you don't have to intimidate the less privileged b4 people will know dat u av money. Spending the money on them will also make people know that you av money..
