Alhamdulilah! My prince was delivered around 10am today! Mother, baby, daddy n family smiling. It was not easy! VB turned out to be ECS. Full BS coming soon.

Doc, I have dry cough for almost 2 weeks now. The docs didn't prescribe any drug initially, but I met another doc who gave me cough syrup. I have taken 2 bottles of different cough syrups but its not cleared.

Today , a doc recommended amoxyl . is amoxyl safe for 22 weeks pregnancy? Other ppl say septrin will be better for me.
Please advise.

Nwaanyị 042, love your diary, my sec school was in 042.
As for the cough have you tried natural remedies like taking enough water especially warm water, ginger+honey, taking fruits rich in vit c or check if it's an allergy, some cough syrup are not advisable for pregnant women.

Use Dextromethorphan to stop the cough. It is easy that way. But if the cough is resulting from a perceive respiratory tract (upper or lower) infection,both Septrin and Amoxyl can be used. However, Amoxyl is chosen in place to septrin to avoid Folate disturbances much own to septrin use.
