Former Governor of Abia State, Orji Kalu, has urged Nigerians to support Igbos to produce President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain said such a mandate cannot be achieved by people of the South East alone, hence the call for all Nigerians to support the push.

He said this while addressing journalists in Ile-Ife, Osun State, after his peace and advocacy visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

According to Kalu, “We can’t do it alone. Late Chief MKO Abiola came to my mother’s house in Abia many years ago seeking political support.

“While discussing with my mother, MKO said no one could clap with one hand. I will also adopt that adage. We Igbo can’t do it alone. The rest of the country should assist us to realise this ambition.”

The former governor also observed that Buhari had demonstrated his love for Nigeria, stressing that the president, “is not corrupt.”

Kalu also hinted that Buhari will return in 2019.

“I know Buhari very well. He is not corrupt. He does not own property anywhere. Some people should not just put the country in crisis. Whatever they may have in plan, Buhari will return in 2019,” he said.

When illiterates and conmen like Orji Uzor Kalu scheme for presidency hiding under "igbo" this or that, Its highly insulting.

Who told him the headache of Igbo is presidency? When you can't even build light rail in your city without FG approval or invite more airline to serve Akanu Ibiam intl. Airport or invite Chinese companies to build River port at Obuaku without Buhari or FG blocking it?

Good talk, but will all the Igbos unite and have a common front? The case of how they conducted themselves during ANPP presidential primaries in 2007 still lingers. Even how they behaved in common second to the last Anambra gubernitorial election saddens one. I wish them well.

From my little conversation with some Igbo folks they're less concerned about occupying Aso Rock than seceding. It's the greedy and self centered politicians, like Orji and Okorocha that are in the forefront of all these....

Igbo people are not serious i tell you. Please Igbo people give us one of your governors that makes sense let see non can come out to show us what he has done to improve the life of his people non. However, I'll wait if someone can show me one credible governor or even a single man.
