Salam. Please house I would like to know what is the Islamic ruling on court marriages.

Civil marriage is actually not needed except for documental purposes as regards the country we live in. One who lives in states with shari'ah courts should process their documents there. And it's better to get the documents you need from your local government even if entails bribing someone to get and avoid all those sinful actions and laws associated with courts.

A court wedding would involve the bride not dressing appropriately. Free mixing is common and some other things done in the court.

You may not be able to marry another wife which is contrary to Shari'ah. And the marriage is totally based on man-made laws

It is not allowed except in extreme cases where all other options has been exhausted.
