Igbos were working at solving the problems they identified in Nigeria, but you and your likes sent python and to go dance on their head.

They wanted out of this contraption, you refused and insist we must all sink together but you don't want them to COMPLAIN about your injustices and ineptitudes?

What can be more inconsistent than that?

Igbo perishing with the inconsistency is the only consistent thing I see in your lame argument n so shall it be.

The reasons for creating the unity schools is clear, and no rant will change it, for as long as the resources of the entire nation is used to run it then every group must be represented as much as possible, igbos are not the only non northerners in this country so let's hear word

How did we get to a stage when we talk about quota system? You need to answer this question first.

Secondly, you know So much about quota system, yet none of you complained when 72 of your tribes men were made principals out of a possible 104 slots.

The problem is that you lot always bury your heads in the sand when the situation favour you but are the first to scream injustice when you feel you are losing. Your

hypocrisy stinks.

And No, the Eastern states, just like most states in Nigeria all have a minimum of two unity colleges. This information is verifiable So stop shouting like someone shortchanged.

I ask again, why did Aguiyi Ironsi and co make the unification decree? What were they looking for in the North? Until you answer these questions, suck whatever you get and shut up.

You will be surprised to find out that this person that hate igbo's so much will even be married to an igbo person. I have nothing to say to you cos people like you can hardly reason objectively.

While some of the concerns are valid, some can also be explained by "Affirmative action".

Why can someone in Zamfara who scored 28 be admitted? Because you want them to attend. You want it as a way to entice them

-You’re really not the sharpest pencil in the bunch.

-I believe you got that phrase “Affirmative action” from USA texts. It has since been proved in courts in the same USA to be discrimitive and a race to the bottom rather than a race to the top, hence why most States stopped using it. It has also been proved to not help “those” it is intended to help. How will a child that doesn’t understand basic Math be able to cope in an Algebra class and of what value will the child be in a class discussion?

-The principle idea behind “Affirmative action” is to help groups that are less represented in the social structures of the State, but not at the detriment of merit. In order words, people from those groups must meet minimum standard! Anything short of that will be at the detriment of the whole society.

-How come those who advocate this discriminative policy send their children to countries where merit is the watchword?

-Would you rather have a quota system Doctor operate on your dying child, rather than a Doctor who got his qualifications by merit?

-Your country, Nigeria, is extremely backward because of people like you!

No sir, I'm from the Southern part of Nigeria (I'd like to assume you are too) and I'm strongly against it and would rather things were done or positons given based on merit. But we cannot deny the fact that the present Nigerian arrangement isn't working, because even the merit system can (and would) be abused.

Take for instance, currently all service chiefs save for the CDS and CNS are from the North. The south has only two, with the south east having none.

The government of the day can safely argue they appointed qualified hands into all the positions held by Northerners. Would they be right? Yes. But does it seem fair? That no single south easterner was qualified enough for even one of those positions? No, not fair.

The quota system was meant to address situations like this when followed in sincerity. So you see, the quota system wasn't/isn't that bad to say when applied right. Hence, nothing wrong is reducing the cut off mark for the educationally disadvantaged northern kids to be encouraged and be able to have quality education like their southern brothers.

Again to show how silly the quota system can be, take the case of the super eagles team that won the last Nations cuo for Nigeria. The first (and winning) team with exception to Ahmed Musa and someone else (cant remember the name) were all from the south east. If quota system was to be applied in that team, every zone (NE, NC, NW, SS, SE,SW) should have been represented with at least two players from their zone. If a man from the SW was to be substituted he must be replaced by another SW player. It doesn't matter if one is a striker and the other a defender but the player needed at that moment was a midfielder.

So you see, this is the ugly situation we find ourselves in. My solution? Let us go back to regionalism and resource control. But before then, the people who destroyed that arrangement due to greed and selfishness must apologize to the rest of the nation and stop crying victims all the time.

-I think you’re getting it all wrong. The quota system or federal character principle is to ensure near effective representation of the society by hiring or employing people from most parts of the society but not at the detriment of standard or qualification.
What you see in Buhari’s Nigeria appointment is just a manifestation of his bigotry.

Jeez... Nobody hates you guys. Instead you guys do the hating on others. Again, not everyone think of Igbo women as snowflakes because there's really nothing special about them. So no, I'm not married to an Igbo lady (nor any lady for that matter) and it has nothing to do with hate.

Talking about being objective, Go and ask Dr Modestus Ezenwa ranting about only 2 Igbo principals out if a possible 104 when these changes were made. It was only made between January and February of this year. When 76 (confirmed) principals were appointed from the South East zone alone out if 104, with the other 5 zones sharing the rest, did he come out to complain about how unjust that act was? He also forgot only 12 colleges were un the East because his brethren were benefitting as principals all over the place.

Did he complain that 45% of the budgetary allocation of the Ministry of Education were allocated to unity schools alone? No. You know why? Because majority were headed by his kinsmen and they benefitted by being at the helm of affairs.

But feeling you've lost out, he's suddenly seething with anger and you're talking about objectivity. The earlier you guys learn Nigeria belongs to every tribe found in it and not just you guys, the better. Stop crying when given the same bitter pills you give others when you lose out. Simply. Nobody hates you.

This is Exactly what I'm saying. When the first VC of UI did it, employing 95% of his tribesmen, it was okay. Stella Odua did it in the aviation ministry, it was okay. It was done again when 76 (wo)men were picked from the SE zone alone as principals out of 104, leaving 28 for the other five zones, it was okay. Only 28 other qualified Nigerians were found in the other 5 zones, hence the SE had to keep a lion share of 76 for themselves. These to you are/were effective representation.

But every other zone was watching amd learning from you guys the act of nepotism (remember how leaders of other zones were killed and none from the SE was murdered in the Jan 15 coup). Now that you lost out in a game you play very well, you start crying and disturbing everyone with noise of marginalization.

What drives me crazy about a lot of you Igbos with your pathetic reasoning is that a clique from among you destroyed this same regionalism simply because they wanted the wealth of the nation to themselves.

Now that you have been outsmarted, n others are enjoying your own wealth instead of the other way round you without shame come online n asked that we revert back to regionalism you banished.

Why in the first place did Aguiyi Ironsi discard regional government for unitary government ? Until Igbo are able to come up with a logical answer I say we stick with this federal system which we all can attest is a lot beta than the senseless Unitary system the Igbos introduced.

Other nationalities in Nigeria are not fools for Igbo to be dictating whatever is comforting for them to. Igbo should wait patiently till others feel uncomfortable to request a change in system. If they can not wait they should go to war n waste another 2 million or more of their kinsmen. I am tired of their noise.

Thank God we have a Buhari who does not give a flying Bleep what noise is coming from the East.

You sure you're quoting the right guy sir? You might wanna go through my post on this thread.
