I can't see myself writing native java codes for Android react native was used to build an app and it was so fast and development speed. I'd prob learn android native for plugin purposes a dude I know , knows nothing about Android Native but react native and he created an insane app in matter of weeks.

yea buh really to some extent its better when being taught by someone or during a course so you can have a curriculum or a pathway

Of course, virtual learning can't equate real time learning. It's the mess that decades of corrupt and greedy governance has put us in.

Well this thread is basically about controversy.

Some people believe Java is the best programming language due its cross-platform (write once run anywhere) nature (Unfortunately today's Java has not achieved true WORA).

Others think its C# and the accompanying .Net Framework.

Some die hard C fans will say its C because no language can seat on a machine like C.

Some say its Javascript due to ease of learning and use.

Others PHP because really PHP is really moving outwards to new domains today beyond the web.

And some geeks like me will always love python any day cos we can easily prototype with it.

No language is the best. The truth is that languages differ meaning that some are good for some specific type of problem. Lets take c/c++ for example, these are low level languages meaning they are good for building applications close to the system like heavy graphics apps e.g AAA games but you can also use them to build web applications NOTE- This is not advisable.

Check out safaribooksonline.com . They have a massive library of videos,books, learning path and live conferences. You could also tryout pluralsight.com , I've personally not used it but I've heard good things about them.

there is no ‘best programming language’. as a rule of thumb, use the most suitable for the job. thats a compelling reason to learn more than 4 languages. e.g jobs and languages id use will be

1. blog, forum, simple website - PHP
2. social network web app, crypto - golang/rust
3. data mining - python, ruby

There's absolutely nothing like best programming language as Programming languages are just tools used for accomplishing a given task...
Sincerely I'll need to think deeply to fetch all the programming languages I've learnt in the course of getting a project delivered.
I started with c++ and before you know it, I switched to Java then c++ again, then I started web with Java applet then switched to PHP, JavaScript, C#........ there was even a time I learnt Prolog for a crazy project then, I started python December last year because of a ML project and I love python, however am currently working with one ancient PHP templating engineering (smarty) as that's my current project requirement.
When I wanted to dive into blockchain, I was required to learn GO, however I used solidity to build my sample token on ethereum.

In my view, I think there's nothing like best programming language; It's just like saying what's the best tool used by Mechanic or carpenter.

All programming languages have there strength and weaknesses based on the project you're working on, although on web, PHP7+JAVASCRIPT+MYSQL combo currently has a special place in my heart.
