typical Buhari supporter, always blaming someone else when things don't go his way. Threatening a ref is a red card offence. Buffon could have just kept his cool and think of how to save the penalty instead of charging at the ref.

FIFA seems to have a better understanding of English ref...Graham poll exposed them during the 2006 world cup wen he gave a Croatian player 3 YELLOW CARD before giving him a RED..can u beat that!!!

Omojuwa just tweeted the below and his tweet suggests that the English referee Michael Oliver ruined Real Madrid vs Juventus's game tonight.

Omojuwa tweeted:

The referee blew a penalty against Juventus, then to make sure it is scored, he red cards their goalkeeper. Talk about getting the job done. proper English referee. What plans does he have to send Bubu back to Daura.....He was part of the major people who campaigned for him on twitter day and night

Madrid vs Bayern (Red to Martinez first leg)
Madrid vs Bayern Bayern (Red to Vidal Second leg)
Madrid vs Juventus (Red to Cuadrado final)
Madrid vs PSG (Red to Verrati Second leg)
Madrid vs Juventus (Red to Dybala First leg)
Madrid vs Juventus (Red to Buffon 2nd leg)

Micheal Oliver just showed why no English Referee will be at the World Cup in Russia 2018

Despite the hundreds of millions of pounds spent, neither PSG nor Manchester City have managed to get further than Leeds United in the Champions League

Gianluigi Buffon in the Champions League:

 117 matches
 50 clean sheets

The greatest ever.

The New FIFA rule is that when a penalty is given in added time, you do not give a red card but a yellow card.
Does the rule also address violent conducts like pushing the referee?

It was Clearly obvious dat it was NOT a PK. Fake ref, same way City were cheated against Liverpool wit their 2nd first half goal . The plan is to get teams dat will easily woop madrid out. But with wat happened ysterday I believe Liverpool wil woop madrids ass ( dats if they change their mind of nt paring roma vs madrid) politics every where.

What's this man saying - was he blind when Buffon was insulting the referee or when he pushed the referee from behind? This same sentiment that is affecting us Africans in whole.

Controversial and undeserved penalty from a stupid referee.

Such stupid and biased decision can never happen against Madrid, but they allowed it happen to Juventus.

Juventus players were cheated and robbed.

FOOTBALL IS A CONTACT GAME,WAS THE REF EXPECTING THE DEFENDER TO BE WATCHING HIM?I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THE REF AN UPPER CUT IF I WERE BUFFON

Is it a Penalty...Yes and No...it depends on the Referee because it is not clear cut.

Then, a 50:50 situation, as a referee with good conscience, should it be awarded at 93rd minute, knowing the gravity of such action
I think he shouldn't have blew the penalty kick....the situation was tensed and would have allowed them settle it at extratime.
My Opinion
Your conclusion sums it all up.. Alas his(the referee's) opinion was that it's a PK, and to be fair to him you wouldn't really fault him. Some ref would give it and some wouldn't, 50:50 remember?

Besides, there's no clear cut definition regarding such scenario in the rule book i think. All in all, what's done is done, the fuss bout the whole ish is just sentiment based.

Ronaldo disgraced me even more.

After an insipid performance from him, he was served a penalty and when he scored, he chose to take off his shirt.

I have never seen a player who appreciated mediocrity that way.

I don't think Messi would take off his shirt If he scored from a controversial penalty. Well, I guess that action of his(ronaldo) showed he has something in common with Nigerians, and that's appreciating and endorsing mediocrity.
What the Bleep are you saying ?

It is not that he is celebrating mediocrity. Ronaldo is just someone who is obsessed over records. As long as he is concerned, he has another goal to his name. He is obsessed with personal glory hence the display of selfishness.

In summary, he is not celebrating mediocrity, he is just celebrating himself and his enviable records.

A widespread criticisms should cover the whole of Europe on yesterday's occasion of disastrous officiating of the Juve & Madrid Q8 match by English referee.
I still think that an original GOAT should not take joy in scoring a cheap 93' penalty kick since he was helpless for 90'.

Somebody made a tackle from the back & didn't get the ball. That's not 50:50. It's a foul & it was also a clear scoring opportunity. Had it not been for the foul Lucas would have scored or Buffon would have produced a master class save.

shocked

Trash coming from a well pained Barça fans.
If that's not a PK then what should we call it? Buffon Insulted the Ref. Face to Face and he sees red and one idiot is here claiming what he didn't know. Watch the post match interview and hear all Juventus player saying its a clear PK.

This is one of the reason Nigeria league will never grow, we take everything as sentiment and it will lead us no where.

God bless you my brother

All they want is Madrid to be out like Barça

But seriously that penalty is a real and visible penalty, and if they continue claiming Buffons red card was unjust he will never and can never catch that penalty afterwards because the penalty is just too perfect
